I'll be getting a PS4 once interesting must have content is out, would probably have bought one if Drive Club was a release title...
Looking forward to hearing your feedback on it.

Well, spent a few hour with it and I must say I'm impressed. The DS4 is downright amazing, huge leap from the awful DS3 and it'd almost say it has surpassed the 360 controller for me. The motion sensing typing is fun and the touchpad while underused in Killzone really shows it has some potential -- I like it.
Console itself runs quiet and cool, after 2 hours in Killzone the exhaust air really isn't that hot.
Interface isn't mind-blowing, it works and does what it's supposed to but almost looks like the menu to a TV. Which is funny since I picked up my remote to tweak some image quality settings and I suddenly started navigating the PS4 itself - So apparently the remote for my Sony TV is able to control my PS4 without any setup which is very cool.
Killzone however is mind-blowing visually. I simply can't believe the visual quality from that game running in glorious 1080p plus an unlocked frame-rate in single-player, meaning it'll hit 60 sometimes. If this is what the PS4 is capable of at launch, I dare not think what developers can squeeze from it down the road. Gameplay for Killzone is another matter, fairly run of the mill with a few new gadgets up its sleeve. Selling point for that game is the visuals - Well worth the money for that point alone!
But yeah, would have loved DriveClub but I'll manage. However I'm definitely impressed and it's so great knowing you have this generations most powerful console, then you don't have to sit around waiting for Digital Foundry tests like PS3 vs 360. Don't even need an Xbox this generation.

Cool good to hear the PS4 feedback too, the previous Killzones have never hooked me so it was not enough reason to buy a PS4, Infamous Second Son is looking gorgeous though: http://imgur.com/a/QZYAW#7 Might be enough to make me jump into the PS4 depending on how reviews go.

The new controller has me the most intrigued.

I got the Xbone last week and love it, but I'd like to get a PS4 later on too. As others are saying there's not a lot out for it right now that I'd want to play. (that I don't already have on PC or Xbone that is) Wish I could have afforded both at once anyway. Gotta have my toys.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

So how are the fields of view in the shooters on the PS4? I've gotten spoiled rotten by triple screen visuals and could never go back to the fields of view I had on the ps3. I'm also looking to replace my first generation apple tv for streaming video off my NAS and the web. Is the PS4 any good for this? I thought the PS3 was a bit so so in this department. I have the PS3 IR receiver so I can use my Logitech remote, would that be supported on the PS4 as well? I'm pretty much after something which runs like boxee or xbmc. I read above that the PS4 doesn't run as hot as the PS3, which is good since my PS3 goes into full fan mode quite instantly when playing bluray or HD video. -C-

My friend's Samsung TV remote control works on his PS4, same does my TV remote. So I don't see why your Logitech couldn't. And your problem with the PS3 certainly wasn't a general issue. Those few times I used it, it was quiet as a mouse when watching movies, streaming etc.

The TV remote is working through HDMI. Logitech will not be able to control ps4 directly. Failure to include media streaming features that ps3 is capable of is the biggest design flaw. Hopefully they realize the error of their greedy ways to force you to use Sony streaming service and corrects this quickly.

I played it at a Best Buy for the first time last week. The controller feels really good. Has a bit more weight, longer handles, the buttons feel much more robust and the sticks have better grip than ps3 controller.
I picked up Battlefield 4 for ps3 on black friday for $25. There's a $10 upgrade code for the ps4 version that expires end of March. So I think I will hold off until then. They should have all the bugs worked out by then and maybe even premium will be a bit cheaper.

Well, after a couple of weeks of putting the PS4 through it's paces and playing BF4, Assassins Creed, Need for Speed, and Resogun, I'm definitely glad I decided not to put it on Ebay after I bought it. Besides the games (which, btw, look stunning on a 70 inch TV), a few things that I thought I wouldn't really give a toss about have surprised me.
The first is the remote play feature with the Vita. I don't know if it's the geek factor or the actual gameplay, but I find myself playing the PS4 games on it more frequently than I would have imagined, especially Resogun and Need for Speed. Something about laying in bed before falling asleep and being able to play your PS4 while someone else is watching TV that is incredibly cool.
Second is the ability to share gameplay or stream your gameplay at the touch of a button. I'm not a hardcore gamer by any stretch but for whatever reason I get a kick out of watching some other gamer half a world away stream their gameplay - especially when they are good and I can learn from them.
Lastly, the overall experience has exceeded my expectations in just about every way. The graphics, the Dualshock 4 controller, the UI, the small and very quiet console, and the ease of use are all astounding. The only complaint I have is that none of my friends have been able to find a PS4. None of them preordered and so I'm missing out on playing with people I know. I guess if that's the worst thing about it then I really can't complain.
Oh! And one last thing.... Using the Ipad as a minimap while playing BF4? Geek heaven....

Sethos is that a cutscene from the game? What does the actual atmosphere look and "feel" like when playing in game? I'm looking forward to seeing what can be done. No that's an actual playable scene, I just removed the HUD in the options menu ( You are floating up to a spaceship ). Visually and atmospherically the game is a kick to the face. It's so incredibly beautiful and I stopped constantly to look at water reflections, huge vistas or check out textures. However the gameplay does all that hard work a bit of a disservice. It's a bit so-so, some cheesy story elements, lots of re-used elements but it's not bad just ... Eh. But it was one of my most breathtaking game playthroughs I've had in a long time, every single level had me go "wow, that looks amazing".

Stupid n00b question - can the PS4 play PS3 games?
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
