What software and Operating System would you use Force Feedback Torque Pedals with?

The last I knew, using DCS Blackshark as an example, you could either use FFB on the cyclic, or the pedals, but not both. It appears to be a limitation of the Windows Operating System.

The best way I've seen to implement a rotor wing (PC) simulator force trim system that can include both the stick and pedals is to use solenoids or electromagnetic clamps, controlled by sensing the stick's trim button. An Arduino Uno microcontroller board with a relay shield could probably handle controlling the solenoids/electromagnets.

Hannibal will undoubtedly speak for himself, but I doubt he is looking at getting into the controller business. If I'm wrong about that, I'd be interested in what he decides to offer. smile

if i won the lottery and quit my job, ending up with more hobby time in which i would make controllers as a hobby. unfortunately i work a 9-5 job, and i have a few hobbies, 2014 i am intending to learn to play the piano, along with flying more, and building less.

once i complete this setup, the only other thing i would like to build is either a co-pilot gunner reflex sight (for the upcoming Belsimtek AH-1G if they have a two person multi-player capable helicopter (I DONT CARE FOR Ai)

or a mock up door-gun controller when ever Belsimtek programs mutli-player capable UH-1H or Mi8 in which you have a multiplayer pilot and a secondary mulitplayer doorgunner (AGAIN, I DONT CARE ABOUT Ai!!!)

this is the only things i have in back of my mind to make.
techically i can make the copilot gunner reflex sight for use with Arma3, but maybe in the future when there is a descent attack helicopter mod...

Hot damn! Well done, Hannibal. Did I see bicycle cranks being repurposed there? Nice touch. I've always looked at my old bike carcass and wondered what could be done with all those well engineered bits and bobs.

Now you can focus on mastering Rachmoninov's Third. The sheet music is basically black. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Flying Colander
