MISC Starfarer is available now. Looks nice, like the dropship from Aliens

Says it's a tanker though... Tanker like full of fuel?

As far as I understand it, the starfarer though only max 2 crew is a very large ship that only carries fuel.

From the description I gather you can use it as a fuel miner and rough fuel transport to fuel processing plants.

Unsure if it can be used as an enroute tanker for other ships to refuel from.

The armoured tactical variant, the G-Star, sounds interesting. Maybe an armed ammo and fuel carrying variant or maybe it's used for ship boarding assaults on capital ships?

The starfarer can also be equipped with the fuel processing equipment to refine the fuel to supply to others

Or with a little modification it can be used for hauling liquid cargo - Milk run anyone?



Or Rum for all those pirate bases

Looking at getting the Colonel package. I have been watching this for a while and might finally pull the trigger tonight. SimHQ need any more Hornets?

I just saw the posting regarding a sale tomorrow. I'm all for sales on stuff but what I'm confused about is LTI and what it means if you purchase after the 26th. Does it mean LTI is now not available and therefore you will need to renew your insurance via in store purchases, similar to gold in World of Tanks?

Anyway, I apologize for derailing the thread momentarily but just hoped for some clarification from those in the know. Thanks in advance.

You can pay your insurance via earned in-game currency, no need to spend real life $ on it.

LTI, and today is it's last day, only covers the hull and starting equipment, any modifications you make you have to get extra insurance for, also for cargo too you may require insurance.
