They did this before with another release from PMDG. They put the link up prerelease with a 'real world' price until the day of release.
Guns have a point and click interface.

some of the military planes I bought for FS9 / FSX where about $70. I thought the C-130 from Capt Sim was over a hundred bucks.

Mine was the thrustmaster warthog. 500 when new almost 2 years ago. And yes it was an add on for the dcs sim

I don't think I've ever paid for an actual add on for a sim.
I did however pay around $2500 to ramp up for the new race sims that are out or coming out. New computer, obutto cockpit with two monitors, and G27 wheel.

You had to love the terms of sale for the membership- you get everything we have made and will make for the next year as a download and/or the DVDs will be sent to you. Ruin or lose a disk, we'll send it all to you again, with a smile. Excellent customer service at that place.
