I am trying to collect some information on who would be interested in joining this Merc Unit. I know I may be jumping the gun here but I am trying out Kludgers optimistic outlook. Signed up below and I will add you to the list.

In. Also, a suggestion and maybe to keep this in one thread. For 'funding' the merc unit, Raw posted good details HERE that everyone should read. Basically, the merc unit will earn money in it's 'bank account' based upon a set tax. Also members can donate. Not sure what can be bought with this money, but I am presuming better dropships is one for sure. When the unit is formed, the 12 founding members have to 'donate' a ticket that they have bought worth 18mil. I haven't heard mention of any other use of these tickets, so we should make sure that only 12 are bought. I will put myself down as buying one. Also, another suggestion, for members that join after the initial 12, I think there should be a one-time sign up fee of the same value as the ticket (18 mil). So Feetwet, maybe put next to my name that I will be buying a ticket, once we have 12 confirmed, the rest will be donations. my .02. Thoughts?

Not sure if I'll have 18.8M CB by the time this thing goes live. But I'll pay up whenever I do.

I don't know, what are the benefits? 401k? What percentage do you match contributions? Medical? Dental?
Put me down as a founding donator. I'm already keeping $18m aside for 1 MRB Auth, but hope to build up to 36m to cover buying 2. Put me down for 2.
Once established, I think it would be good to bring people in without the 18m since that can take a while to build up, especially without premium time and/or hero mechs. They may still be building up their hanger of mechs. If we have part sharing, mech or just funds sharing to buy parts, we might get them going faster in the game than they would be able to do on their own. I don't know if it's a flat tax for the entire group or if you can have a different tax for a probationary period (essentially paying back a loan), we'll just have to see how that works out. I don't want to exclude anyone though. I'm assuming we'll have to pay something regularly to remain an active merc unit?
IMO, step 1: get commitments for 12 MRB Auths.

I am not hard up on the non founders having to pay 18 mil to join because it might suppress membership. It is hard as hell to come up with 18 mil. Now they can feel free to donate whatever they like. Once in we will have to decide on the tax rate. There is no retirement plan cause come on...who will make it to retirement...am I right. One piece of bad news though. We unfortunately have to sign up for ACA...sorry. So I second what Raw said: Step 1: 12 founders Step 2: ? Step 3: Profit S

Good point about not wanting to restrict membership, definitely not what I was getting at. I want to see more SimHQer's out there for some stompy fun. Since the donations can be done anytime, later donations after joining would be fine as the player gets more stick time in. Looking forward to this first phase of CW.

Sign me up for a founder donation as well. This is pretty much the only multiplayer game I play.
Wish I can join you guys on Tuesdays but work is taking me to remote locations during the week.

One day the West will fall. But if the Liberty for which we fight is taken up by the world then the West will not have failed.
