By Yo-Yo http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1901612&postcount=1You think that Mk IX will make you an absolute winner? I have bad news for those who consider P-51 too stick sensitive and thus prone to stall... As Spitfire has neutral stability there is only 3/4" of stick travel to stall as it was reported by NACA. Really silk hands or full scale joystick required... It will be no mercy, hardcore only - all will be as Mitchell designed.

Ouch. As much as it's totally realistic, I hope it'll also be fun to fly with a desktop HOTAS.

The P-51 handles great in pitch and roll. In fact it's just as truck-like as the real thing (By acounts of friends). The P-51 comes off the rails (IMO) in yaw at low speeds. Normally isn't a problem if you keep the tail down until high speed on take off and avoid other low speed yaw errors. I've spent a bunch of time trying to figure out how its wrong (if it's wrong) and I can't prove it unequivacably. There just seems to be a lack of vertical stability along with an undercount of prop slipstream effects over the tail.

The amount of credit I give luthier could just about get you a bag of chips, if they're on sale.
His coding/modding skills notwithstanding, the guy couldn't successfully lead a bunch of rocks downhill.
