http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/Garfield Minus Garfield is a site dedicated to removing Garfield from the Garfield comic strips in order to reveal the existential angst of a certain young Mr. Jon Arbuckle. It is a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb.

Or how to take all the fun out of GArfield... I read a couple before, and honnestly can see no point in this.

Several years ago there was a Garfield strip generator that randomly combined panels from old Garfield comics. Sometimes the results were very amusing.

Well the point is that you strip Garfield out of it, what you are left with are the existential reflections of a very neurotic, lonely individual. It's all in good fun, some people won't like it. "I had been told by a few people that Jim Davis was a pretty cool guy but after reading this interview my respect for him jumped through the roof, I still have a grin on my face. Instead of reacting over-zealously and hitting me with a Cease & Desist order, Jim is down to earth enough to admit that there’s a laugh to be had from Garfield Minus Garfield and in fact he even thanks me for putting it together!
In an age when the internet gives everyone an opportunity to put their own spin on art, music and literature, it’s a pity more people aren’t as generous with their work - just imagine some of the fantastic creativity we could be enjoying."

Garfield minus Garfield=0
Anything minus itself leaves nothing.
ex. x-xALWAYS=0
Unless it is over 0, in which case, the expression is undefined. It's not a literal correlation, however. Just like the expression, "Geez I kill myself, or Geez I crack myself up"- those statements are likely impossible to utter as literally true. They are after all self negating if the truth value = 1.
