My folder structure for my music collection is a total mess. There are tons of residual folders leftover from where I deleted duplicate MP3 files using Media Monkey (the app I use to manage and play my music collection). Apparently MM deletes the MP3 but not the folder it is housed in. Bummer.
Is there a way within Windows, or an app I can install, that will enable me to determine which folders are empty so I can mass delete them. It would take weeks to go through each individually. And listing them by Size in Windows Detail view is useless, since that doesn't seem to work at all for my purposes.
Thanks.

use explorer.exe and the 2 pane view and go down folder by folder on the left pane, if it's empty, hit the delete button.

I use Explorer++, and hovering on a folder gives a brief tooltip of the of the contents. Empty folders are easy to find that way.

Skate- I investigated how to enable 2-pane view and found instructions that are likely pre-Windows 7, since what they stated and what I saw in my Control Panel>Folders Options dialog didn't match. Could you explain how I can enable Two-pane view by default? Thanks.
Also, I have 25,000+ folders and really don't want to have to investigate each one. I am hoping I can arrange them all say by size and get an accurate representation of folder size. Obviously those that are really small will clearly not have any MP3s in them. That will allow for an easy mass deletion.

Nothing can be faster than typing this in the command line: for /f "usebackq delims=" %d in (`"dir /ad/b/s | sort /R"`) do rd "%d" (you should see a lot of "directory not empty" error messages) Be sure to be in the root directory from which you want to do the cleaning or you're doomed. PS: I wouldn't use it if I didn't know what I am doing, though. But, just offering another option.
When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".
