I'm not sure how this will work out, but I created a GTAV "Crew" for SimHQ guys and girls.

I don't need to run it or be its head honcho, I'll join another if someone more tech savvy can create one but here's my attempt at it.

Recently I just created a new XBOX Live account and Gamer tag as my old "Coot SimHQ" account may not be as secure as I want it and I definitely want to try GTAV online when it comes out. Right now I'm having a problem linking my "CootSimHQ" Social Club account with my new Xbox Live account. Not sure if its the Social Club site at fault or what?

I'm trying to link it to my newer, more secure Xbox Live account. If successful my new Gamertag is "Balladeer81". If I'm already Xbox friends with you, please still accept "Balladeer81" as a friend. You can still refer to me as Coot and please keep my old "Coot SimHQ" friend as one of your friends as I still use that Xbox Live account for Call of Duty stuff.

If you're interested in joining the Crew to see if it will be something that will work out, please send a request. I'm not sure how the Crew will work with the online portion of the game but I think you have to have a Social Club account to join. Maybe when GTAV online comes out we can send requests for Crew recruitment via the game itself?

Once again, I'm CootSimHQ and or Balladeer81. That's if it will let me link the Social club account with my new Xbox Live account.

Ooops correction. You are a friend, not a crew member. I thought you were in my crew. I didn't realize the Social Club was like any other site, I thought it was just for Crew teams. So you were in my friends list so I sent you a Crew invite.

HogDriver I'm glad to see you posted here. I just came back from the crew page and noticed a request from a "BigHarryManBeast" and was hoping someone here knew this individual because it kind of creeped me out lol.

I forgot to mention rules of engagement. I'm all for having fun and wreaking havoc in the game and being silly(its a GTA game after all), but lets keep profanity to a minimum please. There's enough of that in the game as it is lol. Lets also not bring our personal problems into the game.

Seems like a simple and silly request, but I've had my MP fun spoiled by these types of issues. And I'm guilty of that too

So lets help each other enjoy the game for what it is. Its a great escape from a hard day and a fun playground to run around in.

I'm not sure how the hierarchy stuff works, but I invited Mace to be a Commissioner. He can help me either identify real SimHQ members. Also if any of you know any stand up gamer folk that you would like to invite let us know.

Finally managed to get my XBL account linked to Social Club and sent the req to be part of the crew

Is this for Xbox only users or is there's separate crews for PS3 or is it all just one with both consoles? I am a bit confused.

The "crew" does not care if you are xbox or ps3. You can join and it automatically splits you into what system you use.

As soon as I figure out what my rockstar social club login is I'll join too. Hey hog driver, I'm retry sure I've had a pending xbox friend request to you for a while?

I'll have a look. I didn't play Xbox yesterday, and the day before there wasn't anything showing up on the "messages" envelope icon. (edit: OK, found it now, and accepted)

I did have a RockStar Social Club friend request show up in my email, but when I went to Social Club, there was nothing there.
