Hello Gents,

03.2017 update:

It deserves an update for sure. We have just launched the brand new web site: VIPERWING.com / F-16, F-18, F-35 Fighter Jet Simulator Cockpits , offering beloved F-16, as well as F-18, F-35... Frames and full simulators (Hybrid or fully physical), delivering worldwide. I hope you like it!

Original 2013 post:

With a great pleasure I want to introduce you our baby www.viperwing.com - we've worked on this for months. First, analyzing everything available, then planning the shape of Viper Wing F-16 frame. It exists thanks to great people, community and inspiration for pushing it further. I just hope this offer will find a few fans here and there. This way you can focus on equipment - screens or physical instruments and get in the air faster smile
The cutouts may be adjusted to your needs (glass cockpit or switches). If you do not have too much space, notice that side consoles may be unscrewed easly in the middle length from the inside and you're getting compact pit (then you are getting side consoles' fronts only, for instruments).
You may order front only or the pit without ACES seat, or just without side consoles... Whatever you need. Just write an e-mail at simulator@viperwing.com and do not forget to send your postal code.
Shipping worldwide.

Thank you,

Why is the headbox on the ejection seat missing? I've seen a LOT of ACES II seats that look like this.

Hey Raider. Congratilations on your new endevor. Best of luck yo you. The pits look great, great plataform to get one started.

Gene I belive the reason a lot of builders leave the "Headbox" out of ACES II replicas it's because that headbox it's actually the parachute container, and a lot of guys with ACES II in their pits install real parachute containers in their replicas ACES. You also have the option to build a replica parachute container, but it involves some fabric parts if done properly (sides and top).

It's not like those containers are common though. From where I sit, I'd rather see a complete seat with the option of adding my own real box if I've got one. (I do, but many don't)

The cockpit tub is an excellent design though. (It's such a shame it's an F-16 though. *runs*) biggrin

WOW :-)
I'm glad It's not only myself to put some knowledge and woodworking machines to good use for flight simmers.

Congrats, as a furniture producer, and fresh rudder pedals producer I know what it takes to build such a thing and keeping a decent price for it. Price is really good compared to work hours/materials involved.

So, keep up the good work and wish you luck and good sales.

Gents, I am sharing with you the first official promo pic and video of full Viper Wing cockpit in Prague (Czech Republic)! What's also cool about it, in the sim center (called Simulation of Reality) real life fighter jet pilots-instructors are taking the experience to a whole new level! The Viper Wing cockpit which I delivered, is running with 15 screens alltogether (3 of these are projectors for over 5m wide, curved screen).

I am SO PROUD to inform that Rockwell Collins (corporation from UK specializing in professional aviation electronic solutions, also for military industry), has used my VIPER WING F-16 inspired simulator frame for the demonstrator system, at the open house held at the new Rockwell Collins Simulation and Training Center of Excellence! smile

Here you have a short review of their great solution:

Thank you, J.A.K. People keep asking me that and I understand it would be cheaper but I would really like to keep that quality on a highest possible level. When you count your time and consider the finish quality it's not that much.

Cheers,

Hello Gents!
I put some work lately into my VIPER's 2014 version and updated the gallery at www.viperwing.com
As I finally worked out the affordable curved screen projection product, for use with just one short throw projector (!), I think it will be best to put it in separate thread ( http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3939875/Affordable_curved_screen_proje#Post3939875 ). Here is the preview (yes, it is one, short throw projector!):

Cheers,

Have to agree with JAK that I'd be a kit customer too, at least for the ACEs seat. It would be much cheaper when you factor in much, much, much more efficient shipping of a large, flat box, versus the entire assemblies being mounted on a pallet and shipped across the ocean via freight. Also, I'm not sure how a dissembled unit would have any less "quality" than someone assembling the unit at home. The core of your units quality seems derived from expert engineering and (CNC?) routing methods, not your ability to bolt things together smile

Well, AB, this is because I am not fighting for sales. It is so much more than that. This is my hobby. I love the products we are producing. Not getting into details, comparing the kit and what we deliver, let's say, it would visually differ as PC differs from Mac. Don't get me wrong, I personally love PCs and their flexibility. But I am selling "Apple" frames (don't take it too literally ;)))). smile
Just read these several opinions of the lucky owners: http://viperwing.com/#why-viper-wing-is-the-best-choice This is what drives me. Not the fact that I sold a few pieces of MDF which may be cut in a garage.

Cheers,

OK, I finally had some time to take a look at Uri's blog. He shows nicely how he converted from the desk to pit just in a few hours (+ nice pics how it all comes, safely packed):

Thank you very much J.A.K.! We are very proud of it and have to start a new topic as it serves the needs of many different simulators (FSX, PREPAR3D, DCS WORLD, BMS) and fighter jets like F-35, F-18, A-10, F-16... More to come.

Hello Gents!
Long time no update - you should definitely check the simulators at the brand new web site: VIPER WING F-16, F-18, F-35 Simulator Fighter Jet Cockpits

We added the black F-16 frame as well as fully equipped fighter jet simulator cockpits (also fully physical - rotaries and switches - below F-18 Hornet example).

Hope you like them smile

Raider,
What would it cost for an F-18 flight simulator with seat and is it compatible with DCS?

I want you to see this coming
