I actually have a scarcity of games to play in single player mode so I'll probably pick up a couple of new games.

I have Dishonored still to play from the sale at the end of 2012, plus Metro LL.

Of course, I get to new games a little slowly because I throw in old game replays too. For instance, I just finished playing Thief 3 (after playing Thief 1 earlier this year) and I'm currently replaying NOLF1.

I don't get it. If you didn't get the game when it was first released I guess it means that it wasn't good enough to spend your time on. Now that it is cheaper it is a good deal, so your game playing time has a $ value?

Surely if a game isn't worth playing, it isn't worth playing. What I am getting at is time is more valuable than $.
Why waste time on a game that isn't worth it, boredom?

I can't afford to buy the games I want, when they are new. I would be homeless.

Buying them at 80% off later, awesome. Or, waiting until a game goes on sale that you'd like to have on PC, that you've already purchased on the 360. RockSmith!

Don't knock saving money, its great wink

True, I guess it depends on the type of game you play. If you predominately play SP then you could spend a lot of money.

Waiting to buy games when they are on sale makes perfect sense to me. I already have plenty of games currently installed that keep me more than busy so I'm rarely ever in a rush to buy a new release. If I have to wait a few months for it to go on sale that's fine.

I almost never buy a game "new" now, most of the time the exception would be games that are not going to be on Steam. DCS modules, for instance. Now, a new game does not make sense financially to me... most of my gaming time is spent on flight sims, so any free time is spent on a good deal of "backlog games," plus I got great time-sinks such as Gnomoria, Tropico, Anno, basically games that end up with me wondering where the weekend went. All of these combined means that a new game must be really good for me to buy at release, a sort of "gimme! gimme!! GIMMEE!!!!" type of game.

Also, with Steam sales, I can also pick up games that are interesting but wouldn't really be on my collection if it sold at full price.

You'd think after being in business for several years that Valve would know how much bandwidth to have available BEFORE the summer sale starts.

Common sense people!!

Always have that problem initially with Steam when big events roll around. Patience, grasshopper.
