Had a CTD..using beta 2..Not sure what happened seemed to be running smooth. Maybe to many planes?
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: rof.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 50d5890d Fault Module Name: rof.exe Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 50d5890d Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 002d7647 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789
Also 56 squadron campaign on the 1\6\1917 crashes when you try to make a mission.
Setting medium density I had two german balloons on top of each other.
Finally it isn't counting Missions properly, I flew my first mission yet it says mission4.
CTD not repeated after turning down amount of squadrons.
Using Air Start with 100 odds on enemy flight crossing paths I'm still getting the odd mission where no flight crosses my path.
Was able to choose RNAS No1 Squadron 1\4\1917 in a Sopwith Camel..not sure if thats right.
Also I was wounded it it went on 8 weeks to 24\10\17, yet in the report at the end of combat where it says who got medals who has died etc, it was giving the date of transfers and deaths for 1 January 1917 and another was 18th Jan (actually it might have been 1918, can't remember, eitherway something wasn't working properly.
It seems the news and pilot lost etc etc gives the dates of 1 Jan or later in Jan 1917, in this other campaign I'm flying on 1\4\1917.

Hello Gents.
Thank you very much Pat for this generator, i hope i'll manage to get my squadmates into RoF with it. I have a minor difficulty with coops, they work great except for one little detail, i cannot have a fix number of 3,4 or 5 aircraft for the main flight (the one wich has a flight plan), most often there are only two flyable slots in this flight, while in other flights the numbers i set up in advance config seem to apply fine.
Any possibility to get a defined number for main flight ?
I'm still flying 11.4 btw, if 12beta solves it please forgive me, i just feel too intimidated to use a beta.

I have been running COOPs with PWCG for a while now. For everyone who flys in our campaign I've edited the campaign file to fit their names. When creating the mission I select those players able to join the mission. Once generated I then open the mission in notepad and replace all coopstart=1 to coopstart=0. (this makes everything non flyable) I then open the mission in mission bulder and set only the players joining to cooperative start. That way when the mission opens in RoF each player has their plane ready and no other AI are available. This makes the mission neat and also hides exactly how many AC are going to be in the mission. This process only takes a couple of minutes to prepare the mission. I was running a Versus Jasta2 vs RFC type campaign before this using PAT's generator in single player mode and then heavily editing the mission in mission builder to include the map flight path for the flights and ground starts for all aircraft. This takes a little longer to prep the mission. Problem was I could only maintain a Scoreboard for Jasta2. For the RFC I had to manually edit a html page. Stats for our campaign are here. http://eaf92squadron.com/It's not perfect as there is quite a bit of editing involved to do what we do. But the results are worth it. we are having some of the best cooperative missions we've played in a very long while

If Pat's not going to toot his own horn I will: New PWCG website: http://www.pwcampaigngenerator.com/WebSite/PWCG.html12 Beta now v. 12 but basically identical. V13 on the way- according to Pat: "I feel that Version 12 is already more stable than 11.4 and is therefore ready to be called the release version.
There will be no point releases for version 12. Version 13 is already substantially complete and nearing readiness for its own test phase, so any future efforts will go into 13. If that sounds a bit blunt, let me explain ... I am only one person and can focus my efforts on only one thing. As version 12 was being readied the need to support the Channel Map became apparent. Doing this was no small task, which is why it rates a full number increment from 12 to 13. In addition to the Channel Map there are lots of other things in 13 like improved, more flexible UI, sea plane operations, nighttime strategic bombing and more. It's a big release. Any issues that are hanging over from 12 will be addressed in 13.o and subsequent releases.
I intend for 13 to be the last really major release. That absolutely does not mean no more support! I will add support for new planes and fix bugs. As ideas are floated I will implement them as I am able. If I am ever able to understand the artillery spot mission I will do that. However, version 13 should be the last really major addition."

PWCG Version 13 Beta 2 is available PWCG Web Site Beta 2 Fixes: Fixed no minimap on France map missions. Fixed Sea Patrol waypoints to hit target and trigger attack. Fixed issue where only default payload is is used. Planes are now assigned mission appropriate payload. Fixed issue where display of distance would go to meters after accepting a mission. Fixed reported divide by zero. Fixed ace skins not showing in some cases. Changed "Shot down by" to "destroyed by" to avoid shooting down tankers. Retested altitude changes: verified that altitudes in mission file match those on briefing screen. New Planes - Halberstadt D.II - Roland C.II - With scout missions - Lewis mounted Nieuport 17. PWCG

Version 13.1 released Revamped random skin algorithm - Reviewed each skin and categorized by nation - Divided skins by nation to avoid mixing nationalities Changed initial victories for replacement pilots. - Only scout replacement pilots get victories - Far fewer victories early in the war - Chance of more victories for high ranking late war replacements. Fixed Lechelle 1 ... again Fixed large German airfields (something new on the Channel Map) - Leffinghe - Clemskerke - Engel - Meetkerke Get it here: PWCG Web Site

New version released - 13.6 - now with a complete set of Albatros DIII/DVa default skins. Version 13.6 Added over 100 Albatros skins - Download the new skin packs from the PWCG web site if you want to use them Bug Fixes: Fixed error with promotion events. Fixed corner case error with Campaign Log if string was exactly 60 long. Fixed error in campaign logs always showing January as the month Sabine no longer flies for Germany About the skins. I developed them in support of historically accurate skins. With these skins you will have squadron skins for every D.III and D.Va unit that is used by PWCG. In addition, they cover the changes in German camouflage over time, so where there used to be one skin per squadron/plane there are now two or three to make the changes historically. Brown/Green/Green skins for March 1917 Albatros D.III Mauve/Green/Green skins for March 1917 Albatros D.III Mauve/Green/Green skins for March 1917 Albatros D.Va Lozenge skins for October 1917 Albatros D.Va Lozenge skins with Balkenkreuz for April 1918 Albatros D.Va New camo schemes are brought in over time, so different squadrons will make the switch on different days. http://www.pwcampaigngenerator.com/WebSite/PWCG.html

Hi Pat - apropos of not a lot, is the source of PWCG publicly available at all? On GitHub for instance? Feeling nosy/curious . I don't have it available for download but I am willing to share. Warning: it is now well almost 300 Java classes for about 20Klines of code give or take. Let me know if you want it. The code is Java 7 and I use Eclipse as an IDE.

Yes. The web page is here: Eclipse Eclipse is pretty much a standard for java development.

I finally installed PWCG. I've never played single player in RoF much. I did one training mission in SP to get a handle on how it worked then I jumped into multiplayer and never looked back. The dearth of online activity has led me to try PWCG. I flew the first mission in it and now I am looking to start tweaking. It seems simple enough to do but I have some questions...
1) In the ACES and/or CAMPAIGN file how do the following fields affect the AI?
Aggressiveness Skill Sense
Do these fields have any discernable effect on AI behaviour? The only one of these fields that seems to be populated is "SKILL". Defined aces appear to all be set at "4". AI in the CAMPAIGN files range from "3" to "1". Do ratings higher than 4 work?
2) Can you add more AI pictures in the AI folders and Aces folder? If so, is there a limit like there was in RB3D?
3) Can you add non aces to the AI folder to fill out a squadron/jasta with historical fliers? If so, is there a minimum/maximum of pilots a unit must have?
Thanks,
Chef
