Post screenshots from your favorite sim. Include what sim you were playing when you took the screenshot. IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 v4.11.1 He almost hit me as I dove away. Wheels

Post screenshots from your favorite sim. Include what sim you were playing when you took the screenshot. Isn't that the point of this forum? lol Bloody brilliant observation. I couldn't think of a better title and description for a generic screenshots thread last night. It still eludes me today. Wheels

I assume the concept is, WRITE also the name of the game in the comment, beside the pictures. How many times people had to ask?
"Himmiherrgottksakramentzefixhallelujah!" Para_Bellum
"It takes forever +/- 2 weeks for the A-10 to get anywhere significant..." Ice
"Ha! If it gets him on the deck its a start!" MigBuster
"What people like and what critics praise are rarely the same thing. 'Critic' is just another one of those unnecessary, overpaid, parasitic jobs that the human race has churned out so that clever slackers won't have to actually get a real job and possibly soil their hands." Sauron

The very nice cockpit of the Bristol Beaufighter in IL-2. I've been flying a New Guinea campaign in the Beaufighter, fourth mission, tasked to attack a seaplane base on the southern coast so take some rockets, make several passes, dodge the buzzing AA from two nearby sites, destroy some infrastructure and one AA gun, then on the way home, decide to take out some truck traffic on the main E-W road but those guys are good shots and I got a fuel leak. Check the map, I see I've stirred up a couple of enemy fighters. I don't want to tangle with them, so I hightail it toward home. Check the plane, right aileron is shot through. My runway is a very narrow strip cut through a coconut grove and my first pass is high and off-center so I go around...meanwhile an enemy fighter is chasing one of my squadron mates back to base. I have the make this next pass work, and I do. As I roll to a stop I hear the air rail sirens going off. Shut'er down and head for the barn! Whew!

That's the New Guinea map, but this was created for a campaign.

I just played this very mission in the same campaign last night. The campaign is called Bush Pigs I believe. Nicely done. Those planes that chase you home were Rufes. The seaplane version of the A6M2. I initially outran them to base, but then turned to face them because they were harassing my mates. Surprisingly I found them easily handled. They wound up as smoking holes in the ground not far from base. The awesome firepower of the Beau was a big help. And I'll agree that the makeshift base is a nice touch - but also somewhat of a challenge on landings.
It's a Game.

Well, I had to go into the mission builder and change the weather from rainy to hazy so I could see what the hell I was doing. So I find the grounded ship, drop two bombs low to skip into the freighter, that seemed to work pretty well, then I break right out to see a cruiser of some sort lofting BBs at me like it's the fourth of July, Jap version. I'm leaking fuel and skedaddle, call Washboard and they give me a heading back to base, worked out real well, I'm swinging around final approach and what do I see but a damn Rufe, closing fast. I clean up flaps and gear and start climbing...he dives and I hose off a strong stream of 20mm, get lucky and nail him, what a rookie. So I'm watching him auger in and damned if he didn't almost take out the approach end of my runway. Land, brake hard and try to ignore the smell of roasted Nip.
