Friends, I am thrilled to announce that I'll be starring in the Star Wars reboot directed by JJ Abrams. I'll be playing Master Ceti Maru, a member of the Jedi High Council. The new film, entitled "Star Wars: Galactic Empire," is greenlit and will begin filming sometime early next year. It is truly a moment for The Star Alliance. Thanks to all my fans for their decades of support.
Guild Wars 2 (fantasy themed MMO) added a new area to the game, the "Super Adventure Box".
It's a retro-gaming themed area where you're given a pointy stick and have to jump around blocky maps fighting spiders and coconut-throwing monkeys on a quest to save a princess or something.
Comes complete with totally rad TV commercial:
My son and I gave it a shot last night and spent most of our time laughing hysterically as we played.

Though this one's clearly an April Fool's joke, it really irritates me to see people clamoring for this to be released on CKII's Facebook page. Just like the undead, seems like this zombie fad will just not die. Kill it with fire! Shoot it in the head!

After their 'Fantasy Aztec invasion' expansion this did actually seem depressingly plausible to me for a short while, until I realised what date it was. Don't count it out yet though, if enough people clamour for it. The latest 'World of Warcraft' expansion started out as an April fool's joke.

Ugh, hadn't thought of that. Speaking particularly of the recent wave of zombie DLC, I wonder if developers/publishers see the irony in cannibalizing their products for derivative possibilities and reducing them to mindless, shambling husks of their former selves.

Honestly, if it was a DLC for CKII it would be optional, would generate income for the developers and would probably include features that could enhance the base game without ruining the feel.
To me that is a win on every front. The worst thing that can happen to CKII is that they get overly bogged down with keeping the game prestine and it never advance, becomes stale, people loose interest and they stop developing it.
