Does this mean WOFF release is imminent or am I just very excited?

It means you are very excited. There is no official release date, nor have the Devs even hinted at a release date time frame...such as "hopefully before the end of the year" or any such thing. Absolutely nadda.

There are generally two answers to the question "When?" The Devs will say "When it's done" and the community will jokingly say "In two weeks, but we just don't know which two weeks it will be." In other words, we have no idea.

My best guess is that the Devs aren't telling us because even they don't know yet. They are probably still adding new features,improving existing features and fine tuning everything, so they have no idea how long it will take before it is all done to their satisfaction. And please understand, these people are perfectionists. They pour more love into their sim than Santa Claus could ever pack into his sleigh.

Highly likely when WOFF finally does ship, the tables will turn and our wives and employers will be asking us when we are going to stop playing "that damn flight sim", to which I expect we will respond with either:

1. When I'm Done
2. In two weeks

I'm really looking forward to WOFF. Meanwhile I decided to order BHaH yesterday just to see what it is.
Now it will probably take a month for DVD to be delievered in Russia but it seems I'll have plenty of time to try it before WOFF is released

I must say, you can't get enough WWI sim titles.. I enjoy OFF and RoF, and am waiting with max enthusiasm for WoFF to be released.
I check the screen shots and video threads daily!
I saw the title and thought HURRAH & HUZZAH! only to find it actualy wasn't being released shortly... Bummer

I dont own OFF, dl'ed it years ago when they first started but failed to get into it. I have to admit the dynamic campaign sounds rather intriguing and F4 like. Is this so? And if that is the case than i await the release of WOFF anxiously as well. In the mean time China has just entered the war over Korea, so im off to find me some migs .

IF they dont get this sim released soon, the updated graphics will be outdated and need updating again... I think!

I've gotten so I only check here a few times a year to see if I've missed the release, then I go back to not thinking about it for a good long while so I don't get too frustrated with the waiting...

The more you read about something the more you get hyped about it, especially when your reading about something or watching something with already alot of hype attached too it at that time, I tend to avoid watching preview videos or looking at new screenshots etc just because there going to be alot of hype attached to those the sooner you look at them, partly because your already slightly hyped when you watch or view them and you get hyped abit more after seeing them or viewing the comments made on them.
I find in my case if I delay or refrain from view things for a view days then look at them I have a more level head on the conclusion and are more like thats looking good blah blah blah. than omg cant wait when is release

yea I try to avoid all the speculation myself. when I was younger I used to be like so n so is out soon cant wait it going be awesome and it was for 10 mins then the next game would be out and I was like wow so n so is out soon it be awesome again, then a decade ago I came across my first MMORPG and damn it was "Awesome" but over the years every patch and then hotfix took the edge off the so n so is out soon it be awesome! aspect of a update or potential release and I'll tell you now I have not came across a MMO better than the one I'm talking about since so I guess it learnt me abit of control.

So now I'm looking at games in general as its just another game, some are sometimes better and some of sometimes worse we can only hope when we have it in our hands its a quick install because that's when the excitement kicks in with me.

I have looked around the forums, but could not find any info about how the WOFF will be delivered.

DVD...? or download from the site? Just curious. Might there be a "pre-order" offer..?

Otherwise it looks fantastic. I have been humming the Hymn of the Fallen Pilots all day! (wifey now KNOWS I am crazy!)

The devs will surely announce it all in time, how they will release their product.
As far as I remember they were considering both ways as possibilities, but hadn't
decided about it yet.

mat..any insider news? It has gone decidedly quiet...like that cramming quiet in the few months leading upto a release as they are very busy indeed.
