I seem to be on a plastic model kit mayhem bindge. Oddly seems to work out with project I am working on where it requires alot of rendering so have these 5 - 10 minute waits. So out comes this model as I wait. biggrin

Its an older dragon model that was re-released by cyber hobby. Basiclly a manufactures kit bash between some new parts and older parts of older sherman models of Dragons. Not quite up to snuff as Dragons curent models but still pretty darn good. Has a few issues in build that so long as you know about/discover you can get right and fix. ALL manily dealing with drive and rear return wheels. If you go by directions they end up to close to hull of vehicle. But SO many extra parts in kit that finding bits to fix this is a snap. biggrin any how......still about another 100 parts go on this thing....mainly on tracks and a few more detail parts. biggrin

What year/period is that setup representing? The searchlight have me intrigued, didn't know they put them on the M50's.

I do not even pretend to be any sort of expert on IDF armor. From what I know it is suppose to on m50's from around six day war and later.

In other annoying news....I lost the commanders hatch! ARGH! Not the end of the world as it is the late production round sort used on 76mm US shermans. As such there are a few after market options to get as a replacement. Actually this maybe the best thing that could have happened. The model depicts all parascopes not installed or down. This sort of forces me to go get an after market deal to get a replacement hatch and parascopes in up position like it should be IMO. Pick up some IDF tanker crew while I am at it. I am thinking small diaroma here...... In the mean time I have an m3 75mm GMC half track sitting around all looking pretty. Or maybe do a nice little jeep model.

ok Mr super sherman is off the desk as it awaits a few parts, some IDF tank crew types, and a few odds and ends for a light weathering job. Those photos really do not do much justice to it. AHHH well. Now drooling over getting an early m4a1 sherman some day. Maybe get an after market interior and mount some little battery operated LED lights in the thing. Next while I wait for rendering project......m3 75mm GMC tank destroyer. biggrin
