I have no idea how to create the missions you guys do so thought I would just give ideas smile

What about a mission as the OPFOR? Just for a change and the OPFOR divers do have the tacticool looking camo wetsuits and just to use different weapons.

Also, what about a force on force mission? If say it was the same as the last mission we did tonight but instead of AI at the Mike-26 objective they were other players who played the part of the patrolling guards? Not sure how it would work but just to mix it up?

would be interesting to be the defensive force ... those 6 types of mines that adlabs was carrying could be interesting

Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.

The only thing more accurate than incoming fire, is incoming friendly fire

Tracers work BOTH ways...

I really lke the idea of force on force.

The key is in balancing the mission so its interesting to both sides. Standing around your base for an hour waiting to get attacked might stretch my enthusiasm levels! However I would like an experience a little more than wham bam thankyou mam style of PVP death match etc.

As long as the mission writer can balance this out then I'm all for it. At least be worth trying to see how it plays?

I built an OPFOR mission that make use of combat divers and gunboat crews. A mix of stealth and vehicle based action.

I do prefer COOP against AI in ARMA 3 than the usual multiplayer game modes you get in other games.

I might dip a toe into ArmA3 mission design. Is anyone aware of any documentation for the Editor yet, or something useful and definitive from A2?

I'd like to make -- or at least start off with -- basic doctrinal set-pieces (coop), such as ambush, recon, assault with indirect fire coordination, etc., at platoon-level.

Some great resources on YouTube Bahger.

I've found the following very useful:

They are the first in a series from two different contributors. Armaidiot in particular has loads of short vids showing various aspects of the editor.

Good Luck,

WB.

These are two good resources. First one is Arma2, but mostly applicable. The second one is for Armed Assault, but is what I learned with, might help with overall understanding.

Thanks, guys. Here is another video series I found, quite superb for beginner-to-intermediate:
