Hehe I hadn't thought about that Pepper smile

Ratcather - my specs are i5-2500k, EVGA 670 FTW, Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM (cant remember the speed), Samsung 840 256GB SSD, ASUS p8p67. I have triple monitor but only uae it for a few games. I use Trackir in ARMA.

I get about 40-50 fps, sometimes up to 80 in desolate parts of the map and down to 38-40 in quite populated areas.

Because I like to have Fraps and Teamspeak together with other bits and bobs open in the other monitors I put it on windowed full screen to stop the side screens going black due to Steam. I found this gains quite a few fps as a side effect smile

Thanks very much for the response, having played about a bit more I'm "relatively" happy with what I'm getting and how it looks. I think I was a little too alarmed at first having read that a lot of people seemed to be getting better performance with it than Arma2. Early days and hopefully they will continue to improve performance.

I can't bring myself to drop back to just one monitor though so I guess its the price I must pay ! banghead

Interesting, I can't select Texture Quality "Ultra". The highest option I have is "Very High." Maybe because of how much VRAM I have? My card has 1280MB.

From what i was told, VeryHigh and ultra show no real difference.

That's usually the way, it's more a case of wondering why. Perhaps you need 2GB on card?

Yeah, might be a Vram issue.

Could also be tied to the view distance, it was in ArmA 2 - Once you had a view distance over 4 or 4.5k you could only select High, not Very High.

I can select Ultra just fine.

I'm sure that it gets its name from all of the "hair raising" patrols they run out of there.

It's pretty fun, it seems a little empty in terms of things to do. But it's good fun I think. I play on servers that run the dev build.

Nice shots. Really like the second one.

Good game last night, very enjoyable. Though I must admit to struggling to see the enemy! You guys are engaging contacts all over the place and I just end up staring at bushes and trees and not seeing anything!

Must be my age!!!
