Hm, none of them fit my preference. A long range bus routes is what I want, not city bus routes like those two. Bus mod for ETS2 would suit me well. Someone did a very cool Indonesian bus mod for 18 WOS Haulin' a few years back, complete with local bus traffics, bus terminals and local routes, but I haven't heard of him lately.

You haven't gone out on Indonesian roads often enough hahaha. There's a reason why I never ride a motorbike and stick with city bus wherever I go.. Well, if anyone plan on learning how to deal with the stupidity of (most) Indonesian motorists, ETS2 is a perfect sim; though I haven't seen drivers talking on their cellphones while going three wide at 80 kph on narrow roads in this sim yet. biggrin

Sorry, no. I just opened the Radio Stream tab in the game settings and all these stations just showed up. There were 6 .181 FM stations. The Bluegrass station is kinda fun for a while, though I swear I'm going to break something if I hear another fiddle biggrin Just earlier I happened to tune into a Ukranian radio that was doing a Ronnie James Dio special. That soothed the nerves.

No worries, I didn't know the radio list had been updated adding 181.fm, I managed to add 181 The Eagle Classic rock to the list then. It's cool searching thru the channels list, but after the update there's almost 190 channels to pick from. Gonna need presets soon. biggrin

I know the traffic there all too well! Two years ago I had a motorbike accident in Medan and had broken ribs and a collapsed lung. But I still ride a motorbike, only way to get anywhere fast, by car you crawl like a turtle in Medan, so I take my motorbike (Yamaha Scorpio), I wonder myself sometimes why I do it, but I can't miss my bike, I have to move! smile

Sweet truck Jan, I was gonna buy a Scania next, but the colors in the deluxe interior is putting me off. biggrin Might need to find some mods first. Cool that you drive trucks in real life and play a truck sim too. I'll probably be getting C or CE this year so I worry about the bad habits I might be learning in the truck sim... hehe

Downloading the update on Steam now. These two points: "physics takes into account different weights for trailers and cargos" and "hired drivers more likely to find suitable cargo on the way back" is absolute gold. Great news. The 50-50 chance of bringing cargo back is just poor organizational skills, and hauling a flatbed with a wheel loader and a backhoe on it should probably be felt more than it has...

I've done this in real life in the U.S, and have driven military stuff in Germany back in the '80's. So while it's neat to drive the Euro cab-overs in this sim, I thought I'd try my hand at tooling around with the Pete 379 mod replacement for the Iveco brands. I've found that the mod doesn't accurately reflect how well the Pete handles (in other words, it's an eye candy mod only, but is a complete fail for handling.) Excellent handling is one (of many) reasons the Peterbilt brand is so popular here in the U.S. Apparently whoever made this mod thought that just because the 379 has a long nose and wheelbase, it can't turn. Which is B.S., and I have anecdotal evidence to prove it (if anyone cares, I'll tell the story another time.)

So after getting disgusted with that dalliance into modding ETS2, I reverted back to the stock game for some driving fun. I quickly grew impatient with the slow pace of progress, and with the horrendously under-powered trucks I was driving. 15-20kph to climb an on-ramp?? Come ON.... It's not like this is Fourth of July Pass in Idaho, or the Grapevine in California, this is a freakin' on-ramp. I was about to call my purchase at full price a big mistake, money that would have been better spent on Orbx scenery add-ons for FSX. Then a friend emailed me some instructions... Now I'm all leveled up with gobs of money to spend so I can make my in-game trucks worth driving. Now I'm enjoying the driving aspect of the sim.

Here's what I'm driving lately... a 730hp Scania. I rarely use full throttle with this beast, but it's nice to know that getting a heavy load of steel pipe from the bottom of the quarry won't take me 20 real-time minutes of slowly crawling up the gravel road.

I just got this sim today but the money system is killing me! Maybe a dumb question but is negative balance good or bad? I ask because you start the game with -2000 but then all of the payment amounts are list as negative amounts too. Screenies to follow!

Had my first wreck in ETS2 today... and it had me stomping around the house cursing. Good thing my wife was taking my daughter back to her dorms ... Here's the situation: Dark, rainy two lane road, slow truck in front of me. Visibility good, no on-coming vehicles, so I pull out to pass. Easily get by the slower truck, but just as I am easing back to the right a car comes at me around a gentle bend... with no headlights on. There was no horizon glow to indicate a vehicle was approaching. I jerk the stick to the right ( I haven't hooked up my old Logitech wheel, so I use my Warthog stick for driving... and it works quite well!) ... to move quickly into my own lane, but the trailer whip-lashes on the wet pavement and slides up the embankment. I steer into it, and almost have it saved... but the 25 tons of "hazourdous when wet" dry bulk chemical rolls the trailer and me onto the driver's side. I end up half way into my own lane, with the (safely) slow truck behind me *almost* running over the top part of my cab. The tractor doesn't even fully roll onto it's side, not sure why.

Meanwhile the little car that caused this ruckus has vanished. #%^!#$&%$&*@%*%$&*#*#%^*!!!! cuss

Oh, I've gotten a few better images of my own truck, and my "company's" trucks. I like my drivers to have good equipment, at least until they prove they can't handle it.

My truck (Scania R730):

My five Frankfurt terminal drivers are also provided with Scania R730's:

My five Hannover terminal drivers are provided with 750hp Volvos:

FYI I've fired one of my drivers already; out of his first ten trips for me, only two had positive income. And one of those was only 12 Euros!

My best driver is a gal out of my Hannover terminal... As soon as I figure out how to give her a raise, I will.

I looked it up, it is the Berlin Airlift Memorial at former Rhein-Main AFB. Not all the details are visible in my screenshot, but it looks quite like the real deal. Pity we can't visit it in game smile

Over the hills and far away.
Just two shots of my game. Just got me the game at a local gameshop (Bart Smit biggrin )
Installed and this happend after gaining too much speed and not enough experience with trucks! smile

Doing it slower and other trucks are overtaking me!

Love it so far, already downloaded lots of mods but have to figure out wich are best and work in version 1.3.1
There goes my last free time!

My best regards, Kodiak.

taking corners at 90kph is generally not a good idea in this sim. Unless you've got a lot of space compensate.

I'm a crappy pilot, but one hell of a shot.
