Another "steam driven" instrument...
... it is the target altitude indicator.

Lets try, and read out the altitude of the target!

Question and how to define the height?

What is the minimal target altitude?

Target height is relative to the Shilka.
You can shoot 4,5 degree below the horizon.

The upper one should be in hektometers x 10, the another one - hektometers x 0.1....

Without looking at the answers I'd say 2412 m.

Edit: Ah, damn. Are you sure about that, piston? Seems unnecessarily complicated, I'd guess the factors are linked to scales you could switch inbetween.

I plan to add more of these "ancient" SRP indicators...
... they are cheap, small, and rotating fast.
biggrin

At the Commander's seat, you will concentrate those small rotating instruments, like him...

That part of the code was not touched so far, but any idea is welcomed.
Here we are not launching few missiles, but spraying 2000 bullets.
I have no idea, how to show these in the AAR.
(best bet so far is to show the start and the end of a burst only)

one system without AAR is a BIG mistake hpasp duh

here is my idea: countering bullet when we begin to fire !
show to user witch bullet hit and killed target ! for example: target hit by 658th bullet and killed by 1589TH bullet and how many bullet fired?

That is the H - target altitude indicator.

The Shilka commander has no target range indicator, but he has the "Tu", flight time of the bullet till the target...
... and he knows:
- 4.17s = 2100m
- 5.5s = 2500m
- 11s = 3800m

1240m

GO - 10gm (10 hekto* meters) - 1km per mark [lower scale]
TO - 0.1gm (0.1 hekto* meters) - 10m per mark [upper scale]

* 1 hekto meter is 100m

I have an idea for AAR. Maybe put hit ratio per burst. How many bullets fired and how many hit the target.

The last indicator of the SRP (mechanical fire solution calculator), "Betha-u" indicating that the tower is looking West (45-00).
