I was watching Meatsheilds video with me in command and my volume level is jarring. I thought I adjusted it down enough from the last time I watched a video but apparently I am missing something.

I adjusted the setting in my PC's sound options, but the teamspeak options just seem to be recording levels, not volume. Does anyone have an insight into how I can lower my teamspeak output?

Tanker, I'll look into this. You are loud in TS, and in fact I've got your TS user volume turned down on my own local client. But still your mic sounds like it's clipping, or overloaded.

First thing I'd test would be lowering the volume slider on the microphone channel in your Windows mixer. Right click the speaker in the tray, choose "Recording Devices". Then double click the microphone and check the "Levels" tab. My own mic volume is set at 43, and I've got boost set at 0.

I'll post back on TS settings in a few minutes.

I was also surprised how loud I was when watching myself on a vid last week, since then I have turned down my mic volume in recording devices as adlabs says. I couldnt find anything in teamspeak for own voice volume either.

Tanker, if you're using Win7, right click the volume icon in your taskbar, go to Recording Devices, right click on your mic in the list and go to Properties, go to the Levels tab, and either turn off any Boost that is enabled or turn down the slider there. This should reduce your capture volume.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. It's hard to know what you sound like until you see it in movie.

Tao I did find the level slider and I have adjusted it down. I'll get feedback (haha) from everyone if it is better this weekend.

No problem Tanker, we can get it worked out ahead of a gaming session this weekend.
