i was messing around with steel armor today, getting the hang of it a little better.. just doing quick small battles platoon vs platoon, the one thing i notice alot is the terrain is very flat makes it tough, its seems to be a diffucult sim,but so far so good i am enjoying as i learn more tanksalot

We have our own forum on here biggrin Feel free to check us out under "Graviteam Sims". You might like a few of the mods that we've come up with, namely Flashburn's ISABOW mods and my own IDF mod, not to mention all the patches and such

The flat land is historically correct, but ya. Makes things interesting. Angola is hilly. And the Afgan map actually plays really well as armor on armor unhistorical however. Iran Iraq area was pretty flat, but I think the satelite data did not pick up the mild elevation differences that this region has in spades.

If you need hull down defensive positions, you can park in some of the irrigation ditches that are all over the iran/iraq terrain. Just eyeball it and make sure it's not so steep that you might get a bit stuck.
