I had never tried Free Falcon, I used the SP mods. Hopefully they will move across to BMS and make it even better.

wow - lets hope some of them help out the BMS guys to move in a single direction - thats surely the only way Falcon will ever reach its goals.
Wonder if any LP guys are still working on their stuff.

Been scouring the net for FF2 and can't find it anywhere. I have the later ones for AF, but I wanted the earlier one to go with BMS 2 (or maybe 1.03) on my original Falcon 4 installation.
The reason I didn't stick with the FF5 series was the manuals. Even just the intro attitude ("if you don't find this manual funny it's because you're square") put me off straight away, let alone the actual cryptic content.
Like Rob says, BMS is a game changer and once it was released it was the death knell for the rest. Wouldn't surprise me if BMS will be the last version of Falcon 4.
I say it as I see it

The tough thing with BMS development has been limited resources addressing unlimited demands for enhancements, many in different directions (i.e. some people want super-realistic F-16C Block 52 lot number xxx to the max at expense of all else, and some want new aircraft). Hopefully, the FF coders who join forces with BMS will be able to address the "other aircraft" and certain campaign aspects of the BMS code, while allowing the core dev team to continue with hyper-realism.

FreeFalcon is going open source! You didn't think they'll just flush away all those hours of work, did you?
I think them posting the code on github was a bad thing for them to do if it endangers BMS in any way. I think if people wanted to do more development on Free Falcon they should have kept it offline. Edit: Toned it down.

FF5 manual is hilarious! Aragorn and his dudes made a woderful job. It makes you read every single page to get all those funny jokes. For instance, I can't read BMS manual, instead use it more like a quick guide/reference to small topics.

admin edit - link removed That is NOT Freefalcon. And, as far as I know, it was not authorized by anyone on the Freefalcon team that matters.

From a technical pooint of view this is NOT true. The FFViper.exe we building with FreeFalconOSC is the same as under the leadership of Hustler and Ranger - what you talking about? And, as far as I know, it was not authorized by anyone on the Freefalcon team that matters.
Excuse me.But we are the Coders from the old FreeFalcon Project. We simply had to give up after Hustler has decided to cease everything or moving on.We decided to move on and continuing the work we allways have done in the past. Its now FreeFalconOSC - OpenSource how it should allways be in the past since it was leaked. Peter

It isn't your code to "Open Source". And you deleted Hustler's post asking you to stop from your forums.

Peter, I was on the Freefalcon team for several years and funny I never saw your name anywhere associated with Freefalcon, never saw you on the developer forums, haven't seen your name on any credits....so WTF are you talking about?
You don't represent anything related to Freefalcon, unless you're talking about some old Freefalcon code you got from somewhere. That does not make you or your team "Freefalcon".
Anyone with any common sense sees right through this nonsense. If you're going to insist on going down this path at least have some balls and come up with a new name.
The flight sim community is fairly tight-knit. Folks who try little stunts like you're doing tend to have a very short shelf life.
