I got my joystick working a long time ago in the demo but don't remember how to do it or where I went on the web to learn how to do it now that I have the full blown game. Did not get any help on the Desura site. Nobody goes there anymore.

Hi Fishingnut, sorry it took so long to get a reply from me. There is a bunch of info on the Official Forums. I am planning to finally add proper Direct Input support as there used to be a work around by adding a registry setting. Unity no longer supports the setting and since Lunar Flight was built on newer versions of Unity there are problems with some devices.

I hope to release an update next week with the Direct Input support...

Note if you would like a Steam version send me an email (sean [at] shovsoft [dot] com) and I'll give you a code. Steam gets all the latest updates first before everywhere else.
