Which of the above reasons fits? Or is it something completely different? Where is everybody? Maybe life has thrown a lot of realism at you?
Well, me for example, I am going through a half year of school/training to learn WebDesign (HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, JavaScript and PHP). I admit that it is pretty hard at my age to learn so much new stuff every day. Before I can familiarise with one thing, I have to go on already. And sometimes it seems to me, as if for every bit of new knowledge I put into my shelf, some old one is falling out on the back of it. Some days I'm just glad I remember how my coffee machine works.
Now, what's your excuses?

They're all probably spending their time doing Christmas shopping, writing cards and letters to family and generally preparing for the festive season. Oh, and maybe even cleaning up their hard drives to make space for WOFF!!!
Merry Christmas to all!! And to all a good night!!

Working on an update to OFFbase and a couple other little mods to fill in the gaps while we wait for WOFF. Maybe that'll help get some people back up in the air.

Well, as for me, the semester that won't die is slowly grinding to a halt. I feel like I've won the month of November - you know, in much the same way the French "won" at Verdun. But, I'm getting there. I'm sure I'll be posting again with some regularity once all of the paper writing comes to an end in the next week. Looking forward to a few weeks off and spending some of it alone in peace and quiet patrolling the lines. Would do me a lot of good right now!

Capt, from the bottom it can only go up, I say. And you won't be too alone; at least in spirit - I'll fly many patrols too.
Shredder, I had thought your part was already done and finished. So, if you still work on the historical data, that sounds promising! I wonder what a WW1 aviation monster you guys are creating there?

For me it has been family commitments, work, holiday preparations, work, traveling, work, home repairs, work, car repairs, work, computer repairs, work, writing, work, research, work, and of course work. On Wednesday for example I was up bright and early at 2:00am and drove to Elkhart, Indiana, (580 miles), where I spent precisely 57 minutes before I turned round and drove back, (580 miles again), returning home at midnight. I am hopeful that this weekend, between several of the aforementioned diversions, I might get in a bit of stick time.

Lou, you should actually get yourself an airplane to fly these distances - or at least an Ultralight Aircraft. You could land near your customers, or just behind the Diners, when you're hungry. Dakota seems to be ideal for that.
I'm sorry, but the Ministry for Detection of unnecessary Repetition, short MIFDUR, for which I work as a freelance blockhead, has counted no less but 8 repetitions of the word "work" in your post. You need to get punished for that with a really nasty amount of ugly repetitions; the verdict is: you must watch the "Spam" sketch by Monty Python. That should teach you!

I was out of town for a week, then I was working for most of another week (night and day), and now I'm taking care of my aged father who, while I was was work, got drunk, fell down, and broke several ribs. He's a crotchety old fart at the best of times so it'll take way more than this to kill him, but he's got severe "wounded bear syndrome". Fortunately, it's been nearly a week since his accident so he's nearly his old, ornery self again .
