Hi all. Thanks for the advice so far.

I re-installed for a 3rd time and updated my DirectX and C++ again but still the same result.

I went into graphics settings and reduced some of the quality settings, and the game seems to be crashing less frequently now (although still an issue).

Could it be my RAM which is clocked at 1600 as mentioned previously?

Give your detailed System Specs.

Mainboard, CPU, RAM (How Many Sticks), etc etc.

If you have any overclocks applied it wont hurt to remove them and try it.
Also the normal things like defrag and driver updates.

I have a Thrustmaster wheel that was causing it to crash, just unplugged it now and DCS World is working now and just flown the 25T, still have to re-install everything though as I remembered AFTER I had uninstalled lol, so try this if you have any USB devices that you don't need to fly (excluding mouse and keyboard obviously) and see if that fixes the crashes.

Interesting. Personally I disconnect everything I'm not using (aside from TrackIR which stays plugged in 24/7) more because of a lack of room to leave things connected!
So my sticks are disconnected if I'm not flying, my wheel is disconnected if I'm not racing, my external HD is disconnected if I'm not backing up, etc.

I was going to disconnect my wheel anyway as when I turn on my PC and all the USB devices fire up the wheel goes through a test state and turns the wheel itself, almost jumped off the desk when it did it lol, just caught it

shoot, looking my external HDD connected causes a crash on debrief, lol.. so I unplug it. as it spins down after 10 minutes anyway.

I've tried unplugging my wheel but still has the same issues. I'l try unplugging my wireless xbox controller receiver, it might have issues with that as well.

Sapphire 7970 OC GPU
Cosair Vengeance 2x4 gb DDR3 1600 RAM
Samsung 830 128gb SSD
Win 7 64 bit.

Just a thought. Do you think something could be wrong with a piece of your PC hardware? I did and found it was my PSU not working properly. Worked great after replacement. Just a thought. Seems funny it would just start acting up. That's why I mention this.

OK, disconnected all ancillary USB devices and it's still crashing on me.

I'm just about ready to give up on ED. All my other games are working fine, eg. Rise of Flight, iRacing, Deus Ex: HR.
