Hi

I have only just started playing this (I've only just upgraded my rig to the point where it will play) and I am having a lot of difficulty keeping up with the pack.

I am very concerned about blowing the various parts of the engine so I'm being quite timid with it. I am playing the British side in the campaign so I'm in the Hurri at the moment.

Any tips on optimal settings for keeping up would be appreciated.

I am currently running V1.05 as this is the latest that Steam has produced.

I tried to manually download the V11.0 but I keep getting the 1946 version instead.

Thanks!

Keeping up with the leader will be difficult since you just started playing. Until you develop skills in Clod I would use the map icons/path. Latest patch is 2.0.172 has to go on top of 2.0.111 ahoy

I am using those at the moment. It's just annoying getting the "You must keep up with me" messages when they're zooming off into the distance as I try to stop my engine doing something debilitating.

Where did you get the latest patch? I looked on the official web page and it says that the latest patch is 1.00.142 which was posted in April 2011.

I keep reading about new patches but Googling produces no results.

Now rather than making your life much easier by providing a direct link...I want you to jump right back over there and look around for it, hint it is a sticky thread/general page. This way you will learn for the next time yep

you know, teach a man to fish ahoy

Hi

Thanks for those.

Teach a man to fish ...

... and he'll sit on his butt drinking beer all day.

Isn't it?

I found the patch by persistent Googling but I am very much appreciative of you putting up the link to the hotfix as trying to get the hurri to start was doing my head in.

It looks as though the oil temp now has to be up to about 40 degrees now. Is that the case or is there a way of short-cutting that?

I haven't actually had the thing off the ground yet as I didn't have time after getting it started but I'll give it a go tomorrow.

There seems to be quite choppy sound when the engine is in low revs. Is it supposed to be like that or is there some glitch? I'm not sure if that's just to simulate the cold engine having problems or whether I have to look at updating my sound drivers ...
