I'm not sure if the scale is correct, for Tmod ships, so I've scaled it to aircraft scale. biggrin

Hi Guys,

As somebody who it interested not just in planes but also trains tanks and ships this work could be very useful so well done. I did not say anything previously because 1) The technical details are way above my head and 2) There is nothing I can do to help. When you have finished please release a simple tutorial in words I can understand.

Cheers,

Peter

Take one card model like this one, of 1942 vintage.

Take the images and make them fit into a square texture, like this one.

This one was 575x575, and reduce it to 512x512 24bit, using PSP.

You then have a texture ready to start building from.

Copy the card system construction, IE built 3dz boxes to build the shapes, and you will not suffer any RS problems.

Build the model using the model texture, one mapping point to one 3dz point, and you will copy the scale and shapes exactly.

Once the model is finished resize the model to EAW scale.

This is my next 1942 conversion.

John.
There is a "E-1.28FV19" folder in your folder at coders to test.
It is an attempt to keep more trains moving when one reaches the terminus.
This was quite difficult to achieve and has taken a lot of my time.

I think it works better, but you need to test it.
Try a "Mixed" interdiction to Hayes or Northolt to pick up near the start of the four line track north from London.

Hello Tony.

I tested your new exe on the big section of track, and it seems to work OK. I had a bit of stuttering, but I think that was just my PC running a bit slow. The AI were attacking at least 3 trains, and paying for it. I think the AA from two trains is leathal.

A couple of screens.

Hi Tony.

The trains now seem to spawn on the outside lines, but I've not seen any on the middle two. Is this my bad luck? I also don't see the nice mix of train you had in your screens. What is wrong?

There is a "G-Gibbos BigHillJFix.exe" in your folder at coders to try.
I made a new line with the new editor to produce more sections- the lines in Pobs' version only had single sections, and there are four tracks.

I have repositioned what I could, but the level crossing is too narrow for four tracks.
Maybe we could have versions for 1, 2 and 4 lines, or alternatively have the crossing in two halves as separate TMods so they can be positioned either side of the track.
What we also need are 2 and 4 track bridges.

Hi Tony.

I wanted to do crossings for 4 tracks as well as single track. But I thought as 4 track road crossings are very rare, I would build a road over bridge, rather than a crossing.

What do you think?

I'm doing a set of rather nice Italian railway coaches, so you'll soon have some continental look trains. wink

Yep the bridge idea is good.
The railbridges over water are important as I imagine that many single tracks will be converted to double or quadruple tracks.
