I flew my first trip as a Global Express FO on Friday. Quite a ride! Straight up to FL430, cruising at M.85 and yet it has very slow approach speeds (Vref was 110 KIAS on this trip). The Challenger has noticeably higher approach speeds due to the wing design. Because the airplane can cruise above FL410, Trans-Atlantic flights will be a lot easier due to the fact that we can get above the North Atlantic Tracks and it's long range means fewer fuel stops will be required (Texas to Europe non-stop ). Here is the airplane on the ramp at Houston Hobby while we are getting things ready for the flight the following morning. I'll post more pics as I get them.

Nice wings there Paul.
Kudos on getting where you wanted to be.

Sweeeeet! I envy you! Currently working as an instructor at a flying school. Full-time job, but it's still the right seat of a C172.. I do get to fly vintage planes every now and then, though, which is great fun, but I'd like a job flyinig something a little heavier
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Very nice! It would be nice to fly something with an APU for once.. But...the flip side of that..is a bigger suitcase.. Looking forward to more pics from exotic locales!

Indeed, this past year my suitcase has become larger and my backpack heavier (due to buying a gaming/desktop replacement laptop to take on the road with me). In reality though, the Global probably won't have me away from home any more than the Challenger did. Time will tell Semmern, if we ever go to Norway I will let you know... Oh, and the tail number is the same as we had on the Challenger (which now has a different registration).
