Can you buy a non-steam version and it work with the Steam versions of the rest?

and how was it? Worth the 15 bucks... new campaigns? Missions?

Resuming, if you enjoyed BAF than I think you'll enjoy ACR too. IMO, ACR is better than BAF (but some disagree) since it has more units and unit types (such as repair/rearm/refuel and ambulance vehicles, MBT, fixed-wing aircraft, etc... which are missing in BAF) and the campaign is longer (8 missions against the 4 missions in the BAF campaign) and it has some very original missions never seen on ArmA games (read my feedback on the campaign). The campaign has some "serious" grammar errors in the briefings and doesn't allow co-op play but in overall this campaign is good (at least IMO).

I have read internet stuff that BIS was talking with Valve at Gamescon about getting the ACR on steam, but there was no timetable given.

As for the content, I don't know anymore..I have been a died in the wool Arma2 fanboy as of late but honestly, I got it for the content to add to the toolbox (new vehicles, guns, planes). That seems worth the 12 bucks for me. But if you are looking for a new experience or new maps or a campaign to play? Not sure the 12 dollars arent better spent elsewhere. If you are playing Multiplayer and they are running ACR content then its a no brainer and heck keeping BIS rolling in money is a good thing in general. We havent rolled any of it out for Military Monday because of the steam thing so I can't comment on that yet. I liked the new guns.

From following threads on the BIS forum it looks like it is bug-ridden, this includes the LITE download. Most likely the reason it is not on Steam.

I won't get it until Steam.

I've heard of bugs as well. Most likely they're trying to iron those out before a wider release, hence the delay.

I'm not planning to get it until after the Steam release, even though I don't use Steam. It does add quite a few interesting units, though -- a placeable flood, armed troop trucks (like a Ural with a PK in the roof), and some neat weapons.

I hope you can place the flood on top of a mountain.

Anyway, I'm also in no rush to get it.

Looks like you may still have to run this thing as a mod by adding -mod=ACR.
