Mimo/displaylink usb touch screen, with it attached and working the original works fine

every update i apply after my original SF2V_web_setup.exe either hangs after the "initialising system" screen or i get to the options screen and soon as i click instant action....black screen followed by "Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam has stopped working"

I have tried appling all the updates Jun 10 to jul 12 manually and upto may 11 and and then updated automaticly

This is stopping me from buying SF2:E and SF2:NA to be honest

going to post this on the thirdwire forum as well

Uninstall/delete it.

Use the new SF2 web installer to re-DL it with the latest updates already applied. You just type in the email you bought it with and the activation code in the email you were sent and it does the rest.

no Joy....got the latest from thirdwire, uninstalled, cleaned the registry, unplugged the mimo usb,...one single time after clicking "instant action" got to F4 screen on runway, no sound....waited.....brought up task manager and SF2V no longer working error msg was there...never even got that far again

im going to restore the machine to and earlier image, with SF2 working, uninstall, reinstall with the new download and see

Like other programs of the like, (programs that modify the DirectX Parameters of an EXE when you launch it).

your gonna sit at a black screen more and more now, as developers are locking down their DirectX Pipelines, Textures, Shaders etc.

If the EXE detects an outside program other than an Windows, AMD, nVidia driver trying to change the defined control parameters, the game will simply lock up or crash.

I think someone on CombatAce also had an issue with The matrox program causing the crash.

went back to a previous build of my pc, uninstalled SF2V, reinstalled from the TW site jul2012, reupdated the Mimo drivers, reran windows update

set shortcut to admin, winXP service pack 2.....works just fine, quickly made a norton ghost backup

so you downgraded from Win7 to WinXP SP2?

set the shortcut compatibility to winxp service pack 2

so your bypassing DX10 and all the DX10 Pipeline Countermeasures.

Try Running the Game without the TripleHead2Go on the system. If it runs, then your TH2G software or settings is the problem.

I do think someone else had to force DX9 in the Options.ini for SF2 to get their TH2Go to work.
