Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself to the group. Spend the better part of last month reading up and searching for a good multiplayer sim experience and have landed here. I purchased A10 a few days ago and am going through the process of learning all the systems and controls available in the game. I just wanted to commend you all on this community, it has been great to lurk these past weeks as I acclimate.

Little bit about myself... I have had private pilot license for about 11 years, although not current. Used to fly in falcon 4.0 and flight sim back in the day. College, career and family have taken over till now. Anyway, excited to be here I look forward to meeting and playing with you guys.

Welcome aboard blindone. Yes, this is a good place to meet simmers. We are all adults here (except for the guys who's names are in red - they are on adult-probation).

Good choice on the A-10C. Some of us are still on the v1.1.1.1 for multiplayer stability, while the new DCS World is shaking out a few bugs in that area - but looking forward here to moving to DCSW as soon as the multiplayer is fixed.

I'm not too far up the road from you.

I saw you were also from Colorado.. My brother lives in Loveland and we have been doing some really basic training sessions in world and only had a few issues with the "world isn't working" windows dialogue. Overall, its been pretty good online experience. Loving the simulator.

It's hard not to love the Hawg! Certainly one of my favorite aircraft!

Along the with Ka-50 Black Shark, of course.
And the P-51D Mustang.
And the Su-25T.
And the F-16 Falcon.
And the P-40E Warhawk.
And the Delta Glider IV.
...

I should stop there.

Welcome to DCS A-10C land, blindone! Hope you've got your TS3 set up! We'll see you in the air soon, I'm sure!

Thanks, Guys...

Been here my whole life. Loved hiking and biking when I was younger.

I'm working on getting TS3 setup tonight and once I'm feeling somewhat more competent in the A10, I'll start joining whatever sessions I can find.

My typical flight nights will be Sundays, Tuesday, some Wednesdays, or Thursdays... Usually depending on what the wifey wants. My brother has a copy of DCS World, and soon A10 also. It shouldn't be too difficult to get him involved here as well.

Don't worry too much about your flight competency - we're all noobs.

haha! yeah granted I do have about 50 hours in the FAA sims, this game is a little more complex than a Cessna 172.. I just need to honestly figure out how to use all of my mfd, cms, and radio functions. Flight is the easy part. smile
