Anyone know if it's possible to lock your view position? When I look behind me and try to lean out the viewpoint goes way forward in the cockpit (as in you see the entire seat, both engines, etc.) and leaning is inverted. When I lean forward and in the viewpoint goes up for some reason. Everything is being skewed.

I don't have this problem in FSX where my head position stays stable even when I turn left or right. I want my head to stay in the same position unless I actually move it on the TrackIR.

I'm not sure if this is an DCS A-10C setting or something in TrackIR I need to setup on the A-10 profile.

P.S. I'm using TrackIR 4 with the 5.0 software.

Hi bonchie,
You can set up a profile for the DCS A-10C and assign that profile to the sim title in the Track IR software. (Sounds like you know this.)

I recommend using the Track IR software to tweak your profile curves. Make sure the Track IR 'sees' your reflectors in the center of its grid.

I did not need to do anything within the DCS A-10C Options for my Track IR.

Here is a post on the curves I found helpful -

For 'locking' a view position, I use my mouse's thumb buttons for Pause and Center. I can 'lock' my view with mouse aft thumb button.

Unbind TrackIR from the position x, y, z axes in DCS. Then your 6-DOF TrackIR is 3-DOF and you won't move. More fancy you can have a "switch" modifier on those three position axes so you can switch it on/off in real time.

Look for the "TrueView" option in TrackIR. It changes if you look left and move your head forward which direction forward is.

If head roll is inverted axis tune the axis using the "invert" check box in DCS.

View point raises because your TrackIR camera is below your emitter. Think about it from the TrackIR camera's point of view. NaturalPoint doesn't have coupled axis calibration yet even through I suggested it to them a year ago.
