Hi all,
This is my Hobbyboss Yak-38, built for the Flory Models Russian Jets Through the Ages group build. It's a lovely little kit, and perfect for throwing everything but a resin kitchen sink at. I added the Pavla cockpit set, Aires intakes and scoops, tail flight recorder and aphid missiles, and the Dream Model PE set. The louvres on the lift jet door tested my patience no end, but I think it was worth it to represent a defining feature of the aircraft.

AKAN paints were a joy to work with, spraying and cleaning up very nicely. They are fragile though, so care needs to be taken when handling.

Thanks for looking,
Gareth

cheers
Gareth

Fantastic-looking model.
Surprised how short the wingspan is. Never noticed before!

Cheers,
Slug

This has actually inspired me to maybe make a modern era fighter. I've always made WWII planes whenever I had the chance to make a model - but seeing this...I may well have to buy me an F-14 (my all time fav)

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I marvel!

The louvers were indeed a good touch. I'm betting they tested the engineers patience as well!
