Introduction

A full day of beer and Cheetos racing. SimHQ hasn't run the off road trucks and buggies for years, so we're past due! Show up when you can and stay as long as you can. This is fun racing at its finest, and you'll be guaranteed to laugh more than you have in a while. While the mods are vintage 2007 rFactor, they still provide good fun.

Vehicles

CORR trucks
VORRA buggies (4 types available with lots of upgrades)

Tracks

Tracks vary from rallycross, open desert, arena, and desert closed track

Arena (5 tracks)
Chula 2007
Coyote Point
Cross 100
Desert Mesa
Devastation Hill
Karelia Cross

Open vehicle selection - duplicates allowed

Installation

Strongly suggest you run this as a separate rFactor install.
When you select the CORR trucks, make sure you select and buy your truck from the CORR folder and the CORRai folder.
Set rFactor for... Customize > Player > Racing Series > Select "All Tracks and Vehicles"

Server

The server is available now with all the tracks and vehicles available in rotation.

I'll be in on this.... The only downside is the timing... It'll be sandwiched between watching the Spa race and racing a Spa race at CORE... But I'll have a few hours of fun in the meantime whoohoo

Yey! whoohoo woot

Don't recognize most of these tracks, so it should be interesting to see them in action.

Looking at the calendar, Sept 2nd looked so far away, but it's just two weeks away. lol I'm really looking forward to this. It would be really great if we could get a lot of drivers out for this. biggrin

Are the basic default setups generally drivable or is a new setup a definite must?

I think I take a look at this, sounds a bit like good old Leadfoot Stadium Offroad Racing.

Depends on the vehicle. All can use some handling tweaks, but on dirt with fixed engine settings, it is limited what can be done. Upgrades in the VORRA buggies do make a difference.

I've run at Chula, Coyote, Desert Mesa, and Devastation when we did these about 4 years ago or so. Great courses, lots of fun, and have the beer cold (or warm for you odd Euro folks). wink

Also, crank up the engine sound! tuner

And you snooty open wheel or proper racing only guys listen up! Last time we ran these we had people from every style of racing hop in and everyone had a blast. Some even did extremely well at the racing while having fun! Picture Skoda fun, but with big 4X4 trucks and buggies on slippery sand and dirt...with jumps! Yeehaw! driving

I'd planned on working our base's airshow on that Sunday, but this will be much more fun! Plus I'll work our airshow that Friday and Saturday anyway...lol.

How are we going to do these races? Separate races for the CORR trucks and the VORRA buggies, or every thing together?
