Becauuuuse.... I have $500+ burning a hole in my pocket for their next series of HOTAS controllers. And Thrustmaster hasn't won me over with the Warthog. There have been too many reports of failures and misc. quirks for a product of this price category. I know, I know a lot of people are happy with theirs... but I don't have to have dealings with Guillemot/Thrustmaster's lackluster customer support in case I were one of the other unhappy guys.

Each component is like $100 a Pop... Problem solved.
I dont think we'll see any new designs, the F-16 Stick w/ Generic Throttle and Pedals works for everyone, and it works better and longer than the competition.

That might be the only solution for me. And I already have the rudder pedals. But I am a tad wary of the centering mechanism of the FighterStick; how does it feel?
I wished they would just use the - what simmers thought was - Warthog competitor outer shell and put the current current Fighterstick's electronics in it, with improved buttons and switches.
Reliability has been up there, and customer service also, as reports testify.

its a lil loose compared to my saitek x52's stick.
it centers fine, and TBH I've never had a stick this precise.
coupled with the ability to re-map the STICK, THROTTLE, AND PEDALS as one device in windows...

I still have a fighterstick laying around i can confirm the precision, but t felt weak when it comes to centering, on the old thrustmaster f16flcs the trick was to put (unused please) condoms on the spring mechanisms. You just have to keep them wrapped as they come from the packaging since they are already a ring. You could use rubberbands but you will hav to change them often. I think it can be done on the fighterstick also

The centering mechanism of the Fighterstick was something new to me that took a bit of time getting accustomed to, but now that I've been using it for so long I don't even notice it anymore. That said, I would buy a force feedback Fighterstick in a heartbeat from CH... ...and a split throttle with center-detent rotary wheels...
