Moving Day, The Jasta has been relocating , in bits and parts, to Roucort, France. Mine is the last aircraft to go. Decided to take a look see of the new Operating Area.

Over the lines I spotted a lone RE8 two seat scooting along.

I pulled up and re positioned for a rear bounce when he joined up with 4 other Tommy,s that I had not seen Committed, I dove on all 5 aeroplanes. Guns chatting I got off 3 40 rd bursts then 2 long 53 and 70 rd bursts and he flamed.

As I dove pass, I took 3 hits to the tail from a rear gunner

Recovering on the deck, I let the rest go since I had wandered over to their side of the lines. An was worried about becoming lost.
