That was a very good lesson on how to get to the Mun,Master,well done.
You should have heard the groans from me and my nephew (trainee rocketeer) as the landing went belly up.

I also would love to see a rescue mission but I'm off to bed now.

I would love to Master, but its coming round to 1.30 in the morning here. Tell you what, that live stream was a great idea. Why don't you advertise your live stream rescue mission and hype it up (give it a day or two on the forums) and then have a mass viewing. I am sure a lot of people would appreciate watching it and we can all then get together on Teamspeak and talk about it whilst you are flying.

Fantastic idea to live stream. But a bit more notice to get more people online would be a good idea i think.

I am more than willing to set up another scenario and run it as a live stream.

Save another guy on the mun.
Save someone on Minmus.
Save someone stranded in space.
Save someone in orbit of Kerbin or one of the muns.

There are all kinds of things we could do.

I didn't watch the whole stream, but I did watch up to Mun orbit insertion. Wow, that was interesting!

I'm going to have to read up on the KSP physics, however - that patched conic intercept with the Mun looked awfully odd.

Master,about that landing.
I know you ran out of RCS fuel at the most crucial moment but could you not have simply rotated 90 degrees and used the main engines to zero your surface speed?
Or do the thrusters simply make it easier?
