I've been greatly enjoying beetling around in Rise of Flight, mostly single player so far. To make things a bit less bewildering, I am often using padlock view, but every now and again padlock view simply stops working. I can still use the hat switches to pan my view around, so all is not lost, but it is a bit worrying to have things stop responding. It isn't a joystick issue, as the keyboard command doesn't do anything, and there are appropriate aircraft in view range when this is happening.
Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried a couple of searches, but haven't found anything.

Unfortunately, it's a known bug since 2009.

I find that when this happens if I switch to "outside" view padlock seems to work.
I then - while padlocked to someone,go back to cockpit view and then padlock view seems to work again most of the time for me anyway, but you may have to do it several times if it doesn't work first time.

Thanks,
I'll give that a try. Of course, I should be drawing my self away from padlock view. smile One day I will get TrackIR or Freetrack...

I got my view stuck backwards and when I got that fixed my pilot is about 3 feet tall and I'm looking at the instrument panel. Page up/down doesn't do diddly. Can't seem to be able to fix it. That F10 key is lethal...
