My neighbour has a strange problem with the G940 Joystick trigger. It's mapped to the Brakes On/Off and it's supposed to disengage the Parking brake or apply the brakes when on the ground. Everything looks Ok in the properties and the light for button 1 goes on when the trigger is pulled so the trigger does look like it's working perfectly. Yet when in FSX it doesn't work. I noticed that the keyboard command doesn't seem to work either. Since this is a French version and the keyboard is French AZERTY I thought this might be linkrd to the problem. The command in French is column (;) not period. Yet Alt + ; which is <<set parking brakes>> does work OK. Unlike my neighbour my version of FSX is the English on and my keyboard is QWERTY and with me his works OK. I also checked in the Logitech Gaming Software and defined the trigger to the Brakes command just to be sure. Maybe FSX overrides that? Any idea welcome

From your description of the problem I gather that the trigger is supposed to send a keycommand via the Logitech Profiler? From my experience with the Profiler, it sometimes does not apply the profile properly. I believe there are some options wrt applying that you could experiment with. It might also help to make a profile for notepad to check that everything is working ok, or use a key testing utility. There may also be some issues with changes to a profile not being noticed if a fixed profile is used.

If at all possible, I would try to map the joystick button in FSX directly instead of using the abominable Logitech Profiler.

Good luck with this, I hope you can get it to work.

If you have trouble with the logitech profiler (really bad soft) you should try the svmapper its kind of old but it really works. The Svmapper has the option to set a key like the button of change in the logitech profiler so you wouldn't lose any mapping options, maybe only the hats that are ministick.
