here's the story;

im outside stary, just hanging out with an as50, enjoying a full moon and eating some crackers. kinda my thing, just observe what other people are up to. well, all of a sudden footsteps around me and there is a figure directly in front of my scope. so i take the easy road and esc out like a girl. oops.

i decide with much chagrin to rejoin the server, and both darkcyde and hitch come to meet me as i'm sure the guy didn't see where i was. by the time they get to me, the server had restated, and there was no sight of the interloper. i head across a small field to check on stary, when all of a sudden i hear "what the hell" on voice comms. i run around the bush to see what can only be described as a mexican standoff - a TSA clothed survivor(bandit) with gun drawn on darkcyde. the guy turns around and sees hitch right behind him, then dances some more with dark before running off into the trees. little did he know that hitch was actually passed out, but at the same time he never saw me.

just bizzare happenings!

Will the AS50 work with NVGs? Meaning eye relief for the scope.

Negative Snake it will not work with NVG's which is why I have tossed it in favor of the DMR as my long shooter of choice. Anything over 800 meters is a crap shoot unless you have rangefinders anyway with the AS50 or 107 and a hell of a good spotter working with you. At least that has been my findings so far.

with the full moon lately nightvison is practically optional in the towns. I had a clear as day view of stary up until that guy busted my view. I agree though that the dmr is a lot more useful for most all situations.. I roll dmr on one guy and as50 on another

I thought so Reschke. I carried the DMR for awhile for that reason.

LOL I fall asleep playing at the worst times! To be honest I thought I had disco'd without telling you guys because I was already getting sleepy but apparently I'd only hit escape..... This would have been when we were still hiding in the tree trying to figure out where to go next. Its ok though I think I'm gonna run back in to camp grab some basic gear and stalk on the coast for a night or too. wouldn't mind going postal in game for a bit anyways!

That was a messed up situation, I can hardly believe it didn't end in headshots. I thought Hitch was moving around next to me, looked over, and saw a TSA with an M16+M203.

We tried communicating on VON, but only a few of the messages got through. He asked who I was, asked me to stop moving around and lower my weapon (whats wrong with ppl? jeez). I could see his mouth moving a bunch, but no sound was coming out. I'm pretty sure he wasn't hearing most of my VON either, when he left he said 'whatever, dont talk.' The guy did have a pulse, although he was only carrying a coyote pack.

Hitch happened to be facing directly at him when the guy logged in, although he didn't notice at first. Once he saw it was 2 on 1 (actually 3 on 1, little did he know), he decided to be nice. I would've felt bad putting a bullet in his head from 2 feet away, he can live to be hunted fairly, another day.

Hopefully the latest beta fixes up the VON problems.
