You mean on the BBC which isn't an ad-supported network?

There have been many other shows like that for years, none last too long. They just don't advertize themselves that way too often.

Smallville did and lasted 10 years, a record.
Let's face it, Buffy sort of was like that too.
The 4400 was pretty much "X-Men created by mysterious abductions".
Alphas, still airing, is pretty much "X-Men called something else".
No Ordinary Family only lasted one year.
The Tick? The Cape? That Wonder Woman pilot that went nowhere?

Since it's Marvel, though, I'm thinking...Return of the Hulk to TV? smile

I wonder, are the guys at DC kicking themselves over losing Joss' attempt to do Wonder Woman for the big screen? Sure, it still could've flopped, but it might not have.

I think what made these 2 so successful was their appeal to the young adult crowd since both shows had a lot of young actors in the cast.

Smallville and Buffy were coming of age dramas, under the hood.

Dawson's Creek with Demons.

Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, but a large part of their appeal to traditional target audiences wasn't necessarily related to the supernatural.

Very different to GoT, Walking Dead, which have a completely different appeal in their gratuitous female nudity and violence after the evening watershed. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that either wink

Buffy had some stellar episodes though, it must be said. Very engrossing story arcs.

I thought the SNL Digital Short about a 13 yr old boy helping the production of GOT was hilarious.

"Boobies!!"

Has anybody else heard the rumors of Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day being in Avengers 2 as Ant-Man and Wasp?

Considering the early stages of development pretty much anything OTHER than Joss doing it is a rumor.
