Is it possable to configure the joystick throttle to work as the collective? If so how?

What joystick do you have? It should be possible, I had an old saitek when I played these games years ago, and I could use the throttle as the collective.

Have you set it in the options screen?

Yes Thatr is ehat it is basically on a HOTAS..Just goto the Options scrren and set the Collective to be the Z Axis..

I have Logitech Extreme 3D Pro

I tried to set collective to axis and it does not respond.

Any ideas?

I'm also using the same joystick. Set collective to "Slider" and it should work. The Z axis is the twist axis for this joystick, IIRC. OOT, I suggest we get a new HOTAS. This stick is nowhere near enough to play anything more complicated than Red Baron 2. It's over sensitive twist and slider is a virtual helo pilot's nightmare. And there's not enough buttons and axis, too. For EECH, when the wingmen didn't kill me, it's usually me hitting a wrong button on the keyboard or taking too long looking for one..

Hm.. wait what sim exactly you're playing? The original EECH or EECH2? If the former (at least with AllMod installed), the sim should recognize Extreme 3D axis and let you assign the slider as collective. I don't remember how I did it with EECH2, but I do remember I can use Extreme 3D slider/throttle as collective in that sim too.

Hm, maybe try to update to 1.14.1 and see if it helps? In my installation I can click the option for collective to chose between "keyboard" and "Logitech Extreme 3D: Slider". And did you install the Logitech Profiler? I don't really know what that thing is doing, but I have it installed and running in background, and Logitech did warn that not doing so will create a problem or something.
