I'm pretty old-fashioned so I fly using snap-views. The default snap-views don't match up very well which means there are some blind spots where you can't see a plane. Is there any way to easily change the FOV of ALL of the snap-views?

Thanks in advance!

A whole day and not a single reply from anyone? Sheesh.....

Try This:

1.) Start a Fly Now mission...
2.) While on the ground before you start -

- go to your 3 oclock snap view and hold the key/button there;
- while holding that view button, press the zoom out ( or the head position) key until you get the desired FOV;
- Press F10 to save ( page 37 in the manual )

3.) Continue with all your other snap view directions.

I don't think it was necessarily an unwillingness to help but most of us use TrackIR and I personally have no idea how to do what he was asking as I've never used snap views and would have to read the manual to find out.

castiglione, if you haven't picked up the manual yet here's a link to the useful materials page on the official site. LukeFF and some others (forgive me for not remembering exactly who else has helped) did a fantastic job on it!

Thanks for the help, WWBrian.

I was hoping there was an easier method than the one you described where I could go into a config file and just change a single FOV parameter.

Cheers!

I suspected this was the case. Yeah, I know - I'm a dinosaur but I'm stuck in my snap-view ways.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! Wasn't trying to come across as a TrackIR snob or anything, just guessing why there weren't a lot of replies to your question at this point. Enjoy the game in any way you like! That is the point in playing these things, right? wink salute
