Ah Mission 3 turned out to be a great mission to rebound from the disaster of the last one! Take off would be early afternoon at 1420
Pilot: Jason "Darth" Bader
Aircraft: A-10C
Mission: Offensive CAS
Objective: Support advancement of Razor and Elm to objective points Montana and Vermont.

Quick mission planning before heading out to the Jets. We moved the IP point from land to a little out to sea. We figured it was a bit safer to orbit over water than over land. The reason was the random SAMs from last mission.

Also planned the load out. Since it was a CAS mission and we had 2 JTAC on the ground. It was decided that we would go very heavy. Finally load out is 4x65 6x12 2x105 1xHE RKTS.

Once on the runway we hold and complete last minute checks.

Once that is done we get clearance and off we go!

Once airborne we get a message saying Razor and Elm are awaiting orders. I decided to let them sit until we can clear the area.

The SEAD flight has some close issues.

In the end we would lose 2 A/C to SAM threats. 1xF-18 and 1xF-16. Both pilots were recovered alive.
Once at our IP I attempted to contact JTAC. I got initial contact but never anything else. So we pushed on to the TGT area!
Selected up GBU-12's first and had a blast!!!
PICKLE 1!!

I wonder I they know its about to end?

SHACK 1 tank!

PICKLE 2!!

SHACK another tank!

Luckiest tank alive???

Only if we run out of Munitions! SHACK another!

Another one down in the back and another on about to be down!

SHACK!!!!

My Wingman called out armor close to my spot. I slaved my TGP over to the spot and found 2 armored vehicles. RIFLE MAV 1 and 2!!

Say goodnight mister tank!

SHACK 1!!!!

And SHACK 2!!!!

Nothing left of this little group!

I spot a group of 3 tanks rolling through an open field! RIFLE MAV's 3 and 4!

I wonder if they even know what's behind them?

SHACK!!!!

So 2 of 3 down and I have RKTS and 105's and 30 MM left. I decided to run in with RKTS just for fun! I missed the #%&*$# but it sure made for some good screen shots! Not to worry my wingman did get him a second later with a GBU-12!

Down to 2x105's and 1150 30MM

Spotted this guy in the opening getting bombarded by artillery fire.

I called up a 105 just in case I missed a tank in the woods and BOOM!

Time for everybody's favorite! GUN RUN!!! Switched over to Guns and proceeded to line up and run in on a T-72.

He was a tough little guy and actually hit me and caused a right MFCD failure. So I switched to my last CBU and dropped it on his location. I was hoping to get both him and his friend. I only got him.

Swung back around and got some 30MM on his little friend and got the kill!

I had about 500 rounds left and was waiting for Razor and Elm to make it to there spots. I spotted this guy who was part of a group getting hit by Helos. I lined up and squeezed the trigger and got 'em!!!

So with 300 rounds left I called my wingman back in and we orbited the area until Razor and Elm made it to their spots.

Once at the spot we got the Mission complete!

Landing at Batumi after a long fun flight! I had about 2000 lbs of fuel left.

After shut down I examined the battle damage I received. Nice!

All in all about 13 kills to my name!

Very very fun mission! The best part was orbiting afterwards with nothing left and nothing left to do! Very rewarding!
