You can group with friends on your list prior to launching and then you will launch with them on your team.

Yep, there is groups and group join. Not that I would know, but I am indeed a founder *WINK WINK* . Handle/nickname in game is "Peally"

Just a question on the founders mechs. I am a veteran so didn't get one but if I go for the next one up I get a mech but I can also buy one and keep it, so what is better about the founders mechs?

Founders mech earn 25% more c-bills per match forever and they get a custom paintjob. That's it.

Also the founder mechs have different looks to the regular mechs. In the case of the Jenner and Hunchback it's slight differences and the Atlas and Catapult it is more noticable.

I'm away on vacation and really missing my founder's 'benefits' which I had been using nonstop since signing up wink wink...

As far as which mech is best for the Founders Elite, it really depends on playing style, if you are at Veteran level just buy and try the same models as the Founders get and see which one you like best or think you will enjoy when you need to use it to grind some CBills, I did that and ended up really liking the Atlas which was a surprise since in the past MW games I always tended to prefer the fast medium mechs to the Assault mechs... All 4 were fun for their play style though.

I play the random pickup games 95% of the time but have joined a few "group" sessions which were awesome, a coordinated lance is lethal to the other teams, can't wait until the open beta when we can all get together on SimHQ Teamspeak.

We play as the ZhiZhu Mercenary Company (Chinese for "Pillars" as in holding up the universe against the hated Stiener barbarians, lol, affiliated with House Laio), we have a forum and our own TS3 server.

Once the game leaves closed Beta the forum will be in full swing.

Who do you think Liao will fight mostly with? I want put down Goons on a daily basis!

What about a SimHQ Group?

Yeah definitely count me in for a SimHQ group, and since they shut down the official TeamSpeak server maybe we can groupup on the SimHQ TeamSpeak sometime.

I think the only thing with putting up a TS channel for the closed beta is that we have to have a password protected channel that only beta members have access to, otherwise the NDA will be violated.

I am thinking the Open Beta is going to happen fairly soon, I wouldn't be surprised if this happened shortly after the deadline for Founder's Accounts (Sept 7th?) passes. Please note, this isn't knowledge from being in on the beta, just my own personal thoughts.

Once it is Open Beta, then there would be no problem having a channel (un protected other than the normal SimHQ access to TS) available for the game.

I would really like to group with the people here, but depending on if enough people are playing when I do, I may actually join another group as well just to have more people to group with...

I think it's safe(r) to wait until septembet 7th to open a TS channel...

Let's keep this up, though... Seems too good to be true.

Cool yeah I forgot about the need to password protect the BETA TS3 from the great unwashed masses for now I agree on waiting for Open Beta, count me in for that, looking forward to it.

About to buy the Founders pack (Elite) but can't 100% make up my mind. I am torn on either end of the scale, either the light (Jenner), or Assault (Atlas).

Yeah I first bought Veteran and played a bunch with all the different mechs to see if I liked MWO and the founder mechs, then upgraded to Elite and picked the Atlas which I have really been enjoying in the brawler configuration, at this point I'm actually considering upgrading to Legendary to get all 4 Founder mechs since I really liked them all and would love to have the founder's bonus on them, but just not sure yet about pulling the trigger, another week to enjoy before having to decide.

Or is there a channel on the SHQ server? I don't see one. Even if I don't have comms late at night, I'd like to be able to catch up with everyone.

When we create a channel on the SimHQ TS, it is just temporary. So, if it isn't there, then just create it and wait in there until someone shows up

I'm on, usually only for 10-20 minutes around 9 or 9:30 PST. Also some days between about 6-7AM.

I just bought a HBK-4SP and I suck with it.
