What other controls? Mouse?
You plug it into a USB port, you shouldn't have any problem with other controls nowadays. Well, in theory that is......

In case of the Wacon, even the tablet can be wireless, with a wireless kit.

It used to clash with all sorts of games and programs and needed constant unplugging. Even now the rudder pedals can do that but yes I am sure they behave better now.

I'd assume most standard computers today have between 6 to 8 USB ports. Also you can unify alot of your USB devices these days or is that just Logitech wireless products?.
My wireless keyboard and mouse use 1 USB port (but alot of batteries frown ), then i got Logitech 3Dpro and TrackIR, I dont have rudder pedals, So i'm only really using 3 USB ports to flight sim.

The only other USB devices i have plugged into PC are a Charging dock for phone/PS3 pads and a USB Airfreshner. If i was to add Rudder pedals to that i'd hit the 6 USB limit that some computers have as standard. however the airfreshner is a optional device lol.

So taking out the airfreshner and putting a tablet in there permanently would mean we lose some of our control devices, but disabling the tablet in devices should automatic revert back on newer windowed systems or am i wrong. lol

Don't worry i have 10 USB ports so the airfreshner can remained plugged in, So unless it breaks there isn't a chance i'll smell out the forums lol

I used the tablet only occasionally. For such works, we have frontal USB ports.
The tablet is ca. 40 x 60 cm, so it's too big anyway to leave it on the desk always.
Plug in, work, plug out & store in a big enough drawer. Easy.

You are not limited to the USB ports on the PC of course. You can easily plug in a decent 'powered' USB hub or more and have almost as many devices as you like. You can even daisy chain them.
Currently I have way more than 12 USB devices plugged in often. We are wandering somewhat in this thread btw wink
