Atag will probably have 70+ tonight if the patch comes out.I have seen in the 80's once or twice after patches but drops quickly when the masses don't like the results of MG latest fix.

None of the posts from the devs even briefly hinted that features were a maybe, revisionist history keeps insisting they were just speculation. Some features even made it in, only to be removed.
Find one post that states a feature is not promised. Features were promised? Not sure what's sillier; for a developer to make promises, or fans to believe in them. Seriously, irritating, now we have to botch and complain about broken promises.

Find one post that states a feature is not promised. I'm sure there are many in the forums who don't have selective memories, can verify the devs continually posted the features are "Work in Progress" and there are "No Promises". You would think they wouldn't have to keep repeating this as anyone with half a brain should understand that the end product of some aspects is rarely the one you envisioned at the start of a project. Nevermind it being an "Unfinished" product. They've also said features will be improved and added with Sequels as Hardware and Software allowed. I'm gone for the rest of the day, but I'm not sure I can be arsed to look for them when I get back.

Well, my "half a brain" can still read a website and looking at the stated features...not features that they are going to develop or features that were to be improved or anything like that.....clearly tells me that each and every one of these features were planned for the release. The devs didn't say that features would be improved or added until AFTER it was released and the problems started and no amount of denial is going to change that fact.
Now, people may not be "arsed" to look for these "statements" or not...mianly because they won't find posts by the developmental team BEFORE CloD was released that says anything like you claim. All was hunky dory with CloD, according to the developers, before it's release. It wasn't until after it's release that they started the "we're going to fix it, trust us" campaign, not before.
Those of us with "selective memories" do remember, and know, that.

Those of us with "selective memories" do remember, and know, that. When did you buy it Steve? It was released in Russia first, pretty much panned as a disaster and then dribbled out to Europe and the US much later. If you think they exaggerated about features and didn't fairly warn on poor quality then I think that's fair enough, but it's not like there was no warning whatsoever I think. I agree that a paid beta is a better thing to do, but what with 1C and Ubi being 'big' and more a 'units shovelling' publisher then that was probably never going to happen once the original IL2 dist deal was signed. BIS and ED can do better beta things because they self-publish, while MG as part of 1C don't (and Ubisoft for worldwide).

I bought it when it was first available in the US...to support the series and the genre. That's not the point.
The point is that it was never advertised as a Work In Progress or as having unfinished features before it's release, regardless of what some around here continue to say over and over, without a shred of proof to the contrary. It was proclaimed by the development team to be a revolutionary new experience in flight simulation, with so many new features that we all would be blown away. Sure, it's got many improvements over the previous series, but when improvements don't work....are they actually improvements?
As for no warning whatsoever...did someone tell the Russian buyers, since they were the first to have access to it, that it wasn't complete? That it was a WIP? That some of the features that were actively advertised by the developers weren't able to be employed into the game, due to it's buggy nature? That it wasn't a complete and stable program? I don't think so.
I've just tired of having insinuations made that I and others that aren't happy with this title have "half a brain" or a "selective memory" when each and every time something's posted about the problems of this game. I, and others, have backed our posts up with facts and/or the same recollections as other members here with this title and the previous series as well. We haven't resorted to the "It's obvious" or "It's clear that the devs..." repeated comments that are purely speculation and hope with no basis in fact whatsoever and then talking down to the people that have a different point of view than I do concerning this fiasco.
No worries, Frog...I'm done with this and don't have any desire to come back to this Charlie Foxtrot.

Bye Steve. It's great you're sticking up for the Russian consumers 18 months ago, I'm sure they appreciate it. As for Ubisoft getting a sudden clarity of mind to advertise their bad games as unfinished, well, I would like to live in that world.. Insinuation are generally bad, but I guess that's just the back/forth of people discussing in the forum - I wouldn't take it personally, or just ignore it. Both the haters and fanbois do some teasing. Also, try the patch - it's very good. We seem to have go lots of posts when it was 2 days late, but not so much now it's here. There's probably a lesson there somewhere..
