So there are still a few sci-fi films yet to be released this year and here is a partial list,

1. Total Recall - I'll be seeing this opening weekend.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386703/

2. Looper - I'll be seeing this as well.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1276104/

3. The Watch - I'll wait for the dvd but it does seem pretty funny

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1298649/

4. Dredd - No thanks

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1343727/

5. Cloud Atlas - Don't know much about this one but it looks interesting

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1371111/

Did not know about the 2nd movie, "Looper", thanks for the heads up.

It's not Sci-Fi...but I cannot wait for "The Hobbit" to come out in mid-December.

I have a hunch that total recall will be a disappointment, and start out interesting only to devolve into a Bunch of drawn out chase scenes and the inevitable 3rd act betrayal. In other words, an unimaginative formula flick that is ripping off blade runner for its style.

I'm a big Cinebistro fan as well. I've recently been there for both "Prometheus" and "The Avengers".

Don't forget Iron Sky, which is finally getting a US release...although you may have to wait for the Blu-ray, given the film's lackluster distribution.

I'm looking forward to the 2013 release of Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuarón (Children of Men).

2013 is shaping up to be a good year for sci-fi as well. Riddick, Star Trek, Ender's Game and After Earth will be out that year.
