Weather has kept the Staffel on the ground for the last 2 days. I had time to turn in the old D-II,s for D-III,s. The maintenance condition is very good with 10 Airoplanes serviceable.

1110 hrs. The Jasta is up to support the Infantry at the front lines near Lille. I flew in the strike kitte as The Rittmaster flew top cover with 5 a/c.

Down we went guns blazing

Then up and doing a reversal down firing into the target

Pulling off target, I could see the other aircraft attacking in single fashion

Then Top cover came down for their runs as we corkscrewed up to provide cover if needed.


Mission Over, we returned to our side of the lines.
